About Tamara
INTERNAL ALCHEMY meditation is an intuitive life-force-energy practice that Tamara has been utilizing and teaching since 1986. Basically, It's practiced to balance, clear, unify, strengthen & uplift mind-body-spirit. While it is TECHNICALLY Qi Gong = Life Fore Energy Practice, it is not of Chinese lineage, and is not to be confused with 5000 year old practice, Nei Gong. This Internal Alchemy is rather an intuitively granted practice that Tamara began receiving as a child outside of Detroit Mi in the 80s, a time and place where only the tangible was considered valid. Tamara utilized the work to heal of severe chronic illness and broken bones with out meds, surgery or pain killers.. Internal Alchemy is strung subtly through all of Tamara's teachings and practices. It's taught as primary focus to those who are seeking to open the p
owerful mystery school within and whom are willing to do the internal work and practice on their own. It is a way of SelfActualization and deepened conscious connection to Source.

FLEXIBILITY, YIN YOGA & VINYASA
Tamara trained in dance (ballet, jazz, modern, lyrical) from 1985 - 2003 and performed, choreographed and taught for several years. This has cultivated strong experiencial understandings in the ways of proper alignment and safe building of flexibility.
Tamara began practing yoga in 2005 and completed her Yoga Teacher Training at Asheville Yoga Center in NC - 2009.

QI GONG
Tamara began practicing Chinese QiGong in 2003 after discovering it's similarities to her intuitive practice, Internal Alchemy. She was strongly intrigued by this energy practice with over 5000 years of passed down teachings. Tamara soon trained at Kun Yu Shan Academy of Martial Arts in China in 2006. She then studied the rudiments of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at Dragon Rises College, 2009-2010.

SKATING
Tamara has been ice skating since age 2, roller skating since age 3, rollerblading since 1994, and urban street skating since 1999.

I went to Tamara for Yoga to just feel more present and to become more flexible, but I got so much more. A problem with my neck and shoulder I had for so many years that I forgot it was always there , is now gone. It was locked up for years & it's now loose. It gets stiff on occasion, and when it does I now know how to release it. And it works! It took time and practice, but it got there! It's more like a therepeutic, transcendental session of magic wherein I'm learning how to do the magic on my own. So good!

Kellie is easy to schedule with and she mixes up the routine every week so you are never bored. Our workouts have been a combination of pilates and strengthening using body weight or light weights. I already feel stronger in my core, glutes and upper body after only 4 sessions.

Kellie is very knowledgeable about nutrition, working out and exercise. She also knows a lot of mental strategies to help me stay on track. She is VERY

Peter Wu is a disciple of Grandmaster Chen XiaoXing, the 19th generation direct lineage holder of Chen style Taijiquan. Peter studied Chen style taijichuan directly with grandmaster Chen XiaoXing, and his brother, grandmaster Chen XiaoWang. Peter also trained Shaolin Kung Fu with the Shaolin Warrior Monks included hand forms, weapons, Qi-gong, and meditation.

Imagine lying down on your mat. You take a deep breath, expand your lungs and belly, and allow yourself to melt more into the mat with every exhalation. Your whole body relaxes. Your mind relaxes. That's what my very first yoga class was like almost 15 years ago. I fell in love with yoga and now I share my knowledge and passion for yoga, meditation, and all things health and wellness related to students every day.

I have been practicing and learning for almost 15 years love helping others improve their lives. I'm a 200-RYT, NASM Certified personal trainer, meditation and Reiki 1 & 2 practitioner. I have been teaching students ages 15-90 from begi

Nicole's classes are wonderful. She is very detailed and has the ability to bring a strong awareness to the mind and body in each class. Nicole is a fantastic teacher with a genuine desire to help. She will teach you how to gain a further understanding of each pose and give you tiny tweaks on how to go deeper. When you think you have reached your physical limit you'll hear her whisper breathe and you'll sink deeper into it. Absolutely incredible at what she does.

For over a decade, I have been a dedicated student of ecology, ethnobotany, herbal medicine, yoga, mindfulness, permaculture, ceremony and music. ​
​I began my work as an environmental educator in Appalachia Ohio in 2005, and traveled to many parts of North America to share my love of our Earth with others, and to plant seeds of nourishment and sustainability in individuals and communities.
In 2013, my mother unexpectedly passed away, followed shortly by the death of my canine companion of 15 years and a series of trials and tribulations.
​In my time of heartache and confusion, resorting to the lasting truths in my life — cultivating gardens rich with food and medicine; practicing meditation and physical fitness; communion with nature; and cooking nourishing meals — kept me grounded, healthy and calm in the midst of unsettling and try
ing circumstances.​​
​I sought refuge in my Yoga and mindfulness practice; I received a scholarship from the Yoga Alliance which gave me the opportunity to complete a month-long Yoga Teacher Training immersion at the beautiful Shoshoni Ashram in the mountains of Colorado where I was held in the supportive arms of a community committed to sustainability on an ecological as well as human-consciousness level.
​Though I am convinced there is universal joy for humanity within the reconciliation of our estranged relationship to the food we eat, the water we drink, the air we breathe, and the land upon which we exist, I knew that the struggle at the heart of my work to inspire a sense of belonging and reverence within others was very likely rooted in the need to reconnect with ourselves- our own bodies, breaths and minds- first and foremost.
I wholeheartedly believe that when humans live from a place of awareness of our own sacredness within a much larger, wholly connected, divine system, we make decisions that truly nourish ourselves and, therefore, truly nourish the whole of existence. It is my desire to empower all people to reconnect to a sense of place within themselves, their communities, and the great web of life, thereby cultivating a lasting reverence for our extraordinary existence.

Vanessa was first introduced to yoga in July 2013.
