I incorporate a lot in piano lessons such as chords, technique, memorization, music reading, music theory, and more. I like using both lesson books and music that the individual picks out to keep students interest and engagement. I like to incorporate fundamentals of music theory so that they understand how to play music and not only learning to read music. I also incorporate by ear training. I try to keep lessons fun and teach students patience with themselves, as we all have to learn while learning any instrument! I continually help students form good practice habits and show them effective ways to practice.

About Lynzi

I am like a proud mama when it comes to my students. I have been teaching online and in person for 8 years now and I have seen all of my students grow and accomplish so many great things. Whether their goal has been to get a main role in a theater production in a theater troup or at school, to crea

Lynzi is amazing! She's patient and tailors each lesson to your individual need. She is very professional, but welcoming at the same time. We would highly recommend Lynzi.

Lynzi is very knowledgable with vocal training and an excellent singer as well. I explained issues with my voice and she gave great tips to help strengthen my singing. The main thing is that she listened to my needs and heard what was going on with me vocally. I already hear a difference with my singing after one lesson and doing what she told me to do. That’s what makes Lynzi a great instructor.

Piano classes will be geared not only with piano technique, but with music theory as well. Piano is a great instrument to learn because it is the instrument that allows you to be able to transfer to other instruments, if you desire. Piano lessons will be geared towards music reading and technique. Once a basic and proficient music reading is achieved by the student, lessons can begin to infuse music not only from the method books, but from student interest.

I recently graduated from The Juilliard School with a BMA in Piano Performance, having studied with legendary pedagogue and Chair of Piano Dr. Veda Kaplinsky, and fabled concert pianist Hung-Kuan Chen, whose students also include the likes of Yuja Wang and Sean Chen. I've traveled the musical world and studied with several of the world's most celebrated concert pianists, including András Schiff, Richard Goode, Ari Vardi, and Sergei Babayan, mentor of international piano star Daniil Trifonov, as one of eight students worldwide accepted to his final Babayan International Piano Academy. I've performed with the Seattle Symphony amongst various other orchestras in Europe and China, and perform regularly as a soloist in the greater NYC area and Seattle at venues including Carnegie Hall. Since beginning my teaching career, I've looked forward to sharing my knowledge of music as an international language with students across all ages, in order to nurture their artistic talents and unique ...

As a parent, I worried that my child wouldn’t receive a truly effective musical education that was tailored to suit his needs and goals. After studying with Max for two years, my twelve year old son has just started his first semester at the Mannes’ School of Music Pre-College Program this Fall. I cannot thank Max enough for his efforts. Before starting lessons with Max, my son had zero interest in piano despite his potential. Max made piano fun, interesting, and worthy of my son’s time. He became an entirely different person! He has studied with the world’s foremost concert pianists and teachers, and he always used his illustrious network to help my son with career opportunities. Though my son now studies in a formal setting, I’m grateful to Max for his help in securing my son’s future. If you are a parent who is unsure of who to entrust your child’s musical development to, please sign up for Max’s lessons. He is the real deal!
Alex
Max has been very helpful so far in teaching me the fundamentals of what makes a proficient piano player, from the technical aspects to the mentality one should have. Would Recommend.
Leopold
Max is a young man with a mature spirit far beyond his years. My wife and I heard him in concert where he gave a beautiful recital of Liszt and Beethoven Sonatas in our hometown of Berlin. I recently visited New York for a business trip, and took the opportunity to speak to this young man who captured my ears with his nearly philosophical performance. After a brief two hour lesson, it was clear to me that the artist had clear vision of a realm that most would disregard as imaginary. I look forward to hearing him again in Europe, and encourage those in New York to take advantage of his services. He will be a major influence on the future of classical music.
