I have a Masters degree in Acting from the acclaimed Actors Studio Drama School in Manhattan, so I am well versed in most every acting technique; including Stanislavski, Strasberg, Meisner, Chekov, Hagen, Stella Adler, and beyond. I've taught acting to children, teens, and adults in the US and abroad since 2006 and my students are working professionally! I also direct theater productions, and can help raise you to the talent level casting directors expect at auditions. My main goal is to help you to develop your own set of tools, and better understand your unique voice as an artist. Make sure to wear clothing you can move in during our sessions, and, most importantly, explore and just have fun!

As a professor of voice at NYU for ten years and the owner of a private studio in NYC for over fifteen years, the students I’ve trained have gone on to Broadway and major musical theater productions throughout the US, to graduate programs in opera at top conservatories, and to successful careers as independent artists in the pop and indie music world. As a vocal technician and a vocal coach I understand that each student and each voice is unique, and I work to uncover your true sound through a solid technical foundation that will free your voice and expressive capabilities. As a composer, songwriter and actor I can incorporate music theory, lyric writing, acting for song as well as monologues or scene work, audition preparation, career coaching and branding into any private lesson setting, depending on the student’s needs and goals.

Theater Acting is a skill quite different from film acting. I have been teaching acting for three years. Build up repertoire, learn to dissect a character and a monologue, character development, finding a goal to become the character and deliver a line the right way.
Also encourage creating and writing your own work and researching others for inspiration.
