I am a Florida native, active doctoral student, teacher and practitioner. My career includes performing and recording as a guitarist and teaching subjects such as music or math. Grade-school academic strengths in mathematics represent my enthusiasm for the subject. The math equivalent in music can be considered music theory, which is another passion of mine. I hope to take these well-rounded characteristics to teach and influence others with what I have learned in my education and career thus far.

Precalculus is an important subject that allows a student to move to calculus. I help my students to make this transition as smooth as possible. We discuss not only different ways to solve problems but why we solve problems this way and why this way is working. It usually allows students to create a path to the solution even they don't remember how to solve this particular problem. My students not only improve the grades but what is even more important, they feel better about math in general.

Pre Calculus is an extremely important class in developing the foundation for mathematical thinking used in higher level courses. I spent 3 years working for the Department of Mathematics at Georgetown University where I taught several branches and levels of mathematics, including Pre Calculus. Math doesn't need to be hard, you can understand it and even have fun with it! Math is my favorite subject and one that I have been tutoring for several years. While I aim for comprehension over scores, grades typically improve with comprehension. In each tutoring session, you can choose to receive homework help, test preparation, or extra practice that I can supply.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from North Dakota State University in 2012. I always ensure to provide the highest quality lessons and ensure that the student easily understands the materials. I'll provide materials that I know will assist the student to master the concepts.
Learning requires the student to put in effort. Any assignments I give, I will expect them to be completed. I understand that sometimes one of "those weeks" comes around where life hits us in the face, but it's not every week.
You've come to me obviously to learn something new, and I intend to go above and beyond those expectations. I want the lessons to be more than just sit down, do the work, and then leave. That's not a great way to learn stuff, in my opinion. Expect to be brought out of your comfort zone a bit and experience things you never experienced before. Above all, expect to see these lessons as an enjoyable experience.
