I tutor high school and college students, and help them get ahead of the program and stand out from their peers in subjects such as chemistry (first year and organic), mathematics (algebra, calculus, vector calculus, and differential equations), physics (classical Newtonian, modern, and electromagnetism), and English essay writing skills.

About Julia
Hi! My name is Julia A. I have been tutoring students of all ages and skill levels at learning centers, colleges, libraries and schools since 2008.

My instruction extends nationwide, with students from all corners of the US, utilizing online tutoring services such as Skype.

My main field of study is in MATH (trig, algebra, geometry, precalculus), CHEMISTRY (high school and college), and PHYSICS (high school and college).

I completed my Bachelors in Physics and Mathematics Education at Hunter University and have gained experience with both in-person and online group instruction and curriculum development.

Some examples of the students I have tutored are: Elementary school students preparing for State competitions and exams; High school and College students in preparance for entrance exams, and in subjects such as algebra, geom
etry, trig, precalc, chemistry and physics.

I do Regents and SAT/ACT prep for these subjects as well as the GRE (These are NYS based High School Preparatory Exams - do not hesitate to ask should you need assistance with the ones offered in your state/country).

In addition, I am thorough and meticulous, by paying special attention to how the student grasps information and retains it, I prepare individualized handwritten reviews, with supplemental material found online and in texts.

I assign homework to keep my students ahead of what is going on in class, and a visual and intuitive understanding of the concepts I present is important to me, so I use visual aids (diagrams and interactive models) to help my students integrate what they learn with me in real life situations.

My instruction includes:
1. Tutoring based on the school curriculum
2. Instruction on the home-schooling curriculum
3. Assisting those with a gap in going back to school/university.

I start with an assessment based on what the student has trouble with or last remembers covering in school, and prepare material going from there.

As a result, my students all have improved grades without any need for cramming before tests, and I encourage a stress-free and easygoing learning environment.

My lessons are fun and enthusiastic - these subjects are beautiful and will help open your mind to new ways of thinking - whatever your field of study!

Great help to our 9y.o., who is exploring math. Clear explanation, additional materials, and a nice memo after each lesson. Thank you! Will do again!

Julia creates her own curriculum which is better than anything my daughters receive in their schools.
I see marked improvements in their grades for this past year, and my eldest is actually skipping fourth grade as a result of lessons. I am astounded as to my girls' progress, and greatly appreciative of our tutor's expertise.
Her patient, methodical approach to teaching is why I see us remaining with her for all of our educational instruction. She has already taught arithmetic to my youngest (3rd grade), and algebra to my eldest (starting 5th this sept!), and is proceeding with more advanced math with no issue whatsoever. I cannot recommend her enough.

This tutor does not fill the total time paid for. If the student has no more questions, rather than structuring the lesson like other tutors he will simply finish early! I am sure he is very knowledgable, but his accent is very strong, making learning a newer subject harder through trying to understand new words with a strong accent.
A fan was constantly ticking in the background, and he admitted his internet connection was poor.

I hold this course dear to me, as it --and amazing teachers!-- ignited my passion for the physical sciences. Just halfway through high school, I decided this was to be my path for university studies and didn't look back.

I loved this subject from the time it was formally introduced to me as a high school sophomore in general chemistry, from acids and bases to stoichiometry and molecular structures. I continued by taking AP Chemistry during 11th grade (Junior) year of HS and maintained the highest grade in my class. I received a 5 on my AP exam. I continued onto several semesters of university level Chemistry courses, into upper division Organic Chemistry.

About Erin
I carry an enthusiasm for knowledge and "nerdy" subjects like mathematics and science! I believe in the power of positive reinforcement and aim to foster not only knowledge, but also confidence. Lessons are individualized for the student and their goal grade/test score. I am passionate about education and the development of growing minds, and it shows in my sessions.

My assistance doesn't stop just because the lesson is over. I make myself available to students (via email) for as-needed homework and study-related questions.

I have nearly 10 years experience working as an educator.
I am honored to work with students throughout the year, for long-term results, but am also happy to assist with short-term needs such as midterm/final exam preparation.

Also available for:
College admissions consulting -- Let me help your family nav
igate this complex process. I can assist with choosing programs and schools, tailoring applications to each recipient school, and generally putting together the strongest possible application packet.

Currently teaching and tutored many students in Chemistry from High School to College level. I have brought many failing or just passing students to B+'s and A's. I myself took advanced Chemistry at UPenn, and also took AP Chemistry. In addition to reinforcing the fundamentals, and dissecting advanced material so it is more easily understood, my plan to initially is to examine my student's thought process, and then deconstruct their approach so it becomes more systematic and methodical.

About Craig
Welcome students and parents: You may not know it yet, but stumbling upon my page may change your life for the better. With me, your immersion into the world of science and education may open up opportunities that may alter your children's future path.

I have tutored students at the junior/high school, and college levels. As a teaching assistance for undergraduates at the Ivy league, the Univ of Pennsylvania, I teach pupils to dissect problems and challenges into manageable components. This was my stepping stone into a professorial role. I am originally from NYC, and attended Stuyvesant, so I also help tutor students with the SSAT and SHSAT. Knowledge and understanding alone does not make a good educator, it is the ability to transmit such skills which is remarkable.

I have a Master's of Science of Biochemical Engineering from the
University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor's of Science in biomedical sciences from King's College, University of London.

Craig is a marvelous tutor. For my twins, he brought up their MATH SAT 130 and 150 points respectively. With my middle schooler he has helped bring up her SSAT to the 94% (percentile) getting her into our top choice. He is thorough and meticulous tutor teaching them how to find and fix their own mistakes.

I have experienced 5 years of teaching in general chemistry and other sciences!

About Milka
My name is Milka. I have been tutoring for about 8 years now. I am an MB3 (Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics and Biochemistry) Major. I believe students learn science by doing science, and that my classes are a medium through which my students will learn life skills that are critical for their success in college and future careers. As our students must be prepared to work cooperatively in a global and technological society where many of them will eventually hold jobs that do not yet exist, I emphasize critical thinking and problem solving, using our science content to develop good evidence-based reasoning and communication skills.

With over 12 years of experience as a Chemistry Teacher, one of my passions in life is the opportunity to share knowledge constantly, as well as, to help individuals eager to improve even when some details appear to be insignificant. At the age of 19, I formally started working with students of all ages, as a professor of Exact Sciences including Chemistry at the Stephen W. Hawking Institute in Ecuador, my home country.
We all should be determined to find an objective/career that would be our passion and reflects our life goal as well. This perspective encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone to move to USA thanks to an Ecuadorian scholarship which financed the commencement of my journey in Environmental Eng. focusing on Nanotechnology at Vincennes Univ. IN. There, I had a training at different Departments as a STEM, English and Spanish tutor; which eventually, gave me the chance to learn about the teaching-learning process of Higher Level Chemistry classes as General ...

About Elizabeth
I am a Science teacher besides my experience as a English and Spanish tutor, working in this field for more than 6 years. I graduated from Vincennes University with an Associate Degree in Environmental and Ecological Engineering. Currently, I am pursuing my Bachelor Degree in Environmental Engineering at The National Polytechnic University, also known as EPN in Quito, Ecuador.

At the age of 19, I started working as a professor of Abstract Reasoning and Exact Sciences at Stephen W. Hawking Institute in Ecuador, my home country. Eventually, I had the opportunity of training at different Departments as a STEM , Spanish and English tutor at Vincennes Univ., IN, USA from 2016 to 2018.

I strongly believe that we all should be determined to find a career that would be our passion and reflects our life goal as well. This pers
pective encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone to become a scholarship student sponsored by Ecuador’s government on 2015; that very August I started my studies at USA. That opportunity represented the commencement that I was looking for my journey Environmental Eng. focused on Nanotechnology.

All these once in a lifetime events have maked me realize that one of my passions in life is the opportunity to share knowledge constantly, as well as, to help individuals eager to improve even when some details appear to be insignificant. Indeed, the process of teaching-learning actually represents such an enriching academic and personal experience.

Assuredly, obstacles really do not matter when we strive for more innovation and knowledge, because the universe always falls in love with a stubborn soul; so let's get started!

I'm not going to tell you that chemistry is going to be magically easy with me but I can promise you that you will not only pass but understand. It is a logical science that only uses a few fundamentals and I can give you the tools to make your semester or future in chemistry a smoother ride. I have been tutoring for the past eight years and I started when I was once a high schooler doing peer tutoring. I know your struggles and together I guarantee success so shoot me a message!

About Corevel
I remember the first time I realized I loved chemistry. I was fourteen and I made my own soap. My very first thought was why don't I just make everything I need from now on. This was subsequently shut down when I was told how much the production costs of making my own materials would be. However, my passion for the subject grew. This coupled with several of my peers in my school and other schools recognition of my natural knack began my first time tutoring. I have been teaching ever since and within my eight years I have never had a student fail or get below a B average.
Chemistry can be fun but more importantly, I believe the personal connection I make with my students is the cause of my students' success. I make the subject not only relatable but memorable. once someone understands the fundamentals of chemistry, synthesis and higher lev
el aspects of the subject become significantly easier. I have both a chemical engineering and applied chemistry background which allows me to assist students in all aspects of Chemistry.
From general to organic to inorganic or analytical chemistry, I got you covered!
