Experienced teacher of Calculus available for eager students of all experience levels and ages! I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation of skills. I typically use books, and also have the tools available to use during lessons.

Students can expect to learn skills and develop proficiency in linear and quadratic equations and inequalities, functions and graphing, polynomial zeros and complex numbers, exponential and logarithmic functions, trigonometric functions and identities, and applications of trigonometry.

Experienced, professional and patient tutor! My name is Junia. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of Central Florida (UCF). In college, I was in the Dean’s and President lists. I also had an honor scholarship which shows that I am driven by success at high standards. I hold an Advanced National Tutor Certificate. I have tutored many students in math, ESOL, and science over the past 10 years across all age groups with a very high success rate. My goals as a tutor are to offer an excellent and targeted learning which addresses specific learning challenges that the student is currently facing, to equip students with exam preparation strategies, and help them learn techniques that enable them to achieve and succeed in their subjects. I am very patient and attentive to the needs of the students so that they can attain their goals. My role as a tutor is to make learning enjoyable. I always keep my students engage in the learning process. I do everything I can to make learning a pleasant experience. I am willing to go the extra miles when students ask for additional help and clarification. If a lesson is not cancelled, yet the student fails to show up within the first 15 minutes of the lesson, a no-show fee of 100% of that lesson will be kept. However, I completely understand that sometimes there may be an emergency. If this is the case, I am happy to reschedule the lesson for a later time if there is calendar availability, as long as the student messages me 24 hours prior to the scheduled session.

I come with more than ten years of teaching and tutoring experience, pedagogical know-how, educational resources, and am always professional. I was enrolled in a top mathematical high school and won multiple mathematical olympiads starting at a young age. I graduated from university with honors and the highest departmental distinction. While at the university I served as a teaching assistant and tutored other students. Mathematics and teaching are still my big passions. I’ve taught math classes at a private school as well as tutored students of all ages and all levels. I am committed to helping students succeed in any math course. I guide the students in their understanding and comprehension of solutions rather than give them answers to everything immediately. This way they are appropriately challenged and become excited about being able to solve math problems they never imagined they could. My tutoring style is friendly, yet directed. I was the top calculus student in my high school class, and received a 5 on the AP Calculus exam. I also won the high school medal for top math student in my high school. As an electrical & computer engineer, I've had extensive study in math, including algebra and calculus. I can help with conceptual understanding, study techniques, and test prep (including AP exams).
