Experienced teacher of Statistics available for eager students of all experience levels and ages! I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation of skills. I typically use books, and also have the tools available to use during lessons.

About Akib
I am eager and equally interested in applying to offer my skill. With the academic and leadership qualities that you are looking for, I believe I would be able to contribute to the objectives.

I am presently enrolled in New York Institute of Technology as a junior in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and complete my bachelors by December 2015. I am thrilled to know that you are looking for a tutor and I feel that this is the perfect platform for me.
As a result of my previous work experience in the Learning Center in my college for the last couple of years, I believe I am well equipped with not only academic qualifications but also experienced in working in an energetic and dynamic environment. I have been also serving for a tutoring Center, Math Matters and very much familiar with the new Common Core Curriculum. I am also
familiar with Regions Curriculum I have also served as a Supplemental Instructor for Physics that adds to my leadership abilities.

An opportunity to be able to work will prove to be mutually beneficial. While I will be able to gain further experience about the real-world applications of teaching, I believe that will also be a great addition to the working terms and contribute to your goals and objectives.
I am very enthusiastic about this opportunity and believe will be worthwhile for us to meet. I have enclosed my resume and would gladly answer any further. Please feel free to contact TakeLessons using the details mentioned.

Thank you very much for your time and consideration.

This tutor does not fill the total time paid for. If the student has no more questions, rather than structuring the lesson like other tutors he will simply finish early! I am sure he is very knowledgable, but his accent is very strong, making learning a newer subject harder through trying to understand new words with a strong accent.
A fan was constantly ticking in the background, and he admitted his internet connection was poor.

30min increments: For < 60mins lesson, you have to come near to my place; I will come to your place at > 90mins.

Statistics is none other than probability applied to mass random data. Let's go through the exercises together to familiarize yourself with tests and final exams.

(IMPORTANT: Please do NOT book any lessons without confirming with me if we have a match in schedule. I have other obligations besides tutoring so if you do not have a flexible schedule, I recommend other tutors that will match your budget and schedule.)

About Rod
I specialize in Test Prep (NYC Gifted & Talented Test, SHSAT, TACHS/HSPT/COOP, SSAT/ISEE, Common Core, Regents, college/graduate admissions tests [i.e. SAT/ACT, GRE/GMAT]) and tutor a number of academic subjects in Mathematics (Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Linear Algebra, Combinatorics), Statistics and Science (especially Physics) and K-12 English. I am particularly interested in Number Theory, Systems Engineering (Feedback Theory), Electronics (Analog Circuit Design) and Cosmology. I have bachelor's and master's degrees in electronics engineering and business respectively and I enjoy tutoring both children and adults.

My interests also include gifted learning and STEM education. For example, I was successful in helping a 5-year old pass the NYC Gifted & Talented Test so he could enroll in any New York City school p
articipating in the program.

I have several years experience working with various people from different backgrounds as an engineer (hardware+software) and as business developer in multinational companies and startups and this exposure has given me deeper and practical insights into personality and intelligence enabling me to adapt my teaching style to different needs and situations. Furthermore, I have learned from experience that there are three best tools for learning: practice, practice and more practice!

Tutoring for yourself or for your son/daughter is both an investment in time and money for a future return so please also plan accordingly. Now, I make sure that I do not totally depend on tutoring for income so I can maintain a certain level of quality. In other words, when there is a match in objective, budget and schedule, I am quite happy to be part of someone's educational journey. I consider it indeed a very special privelege to be able to help a student because it is my experience that effective education can be life-changing. Finally, I am aware that other tutors may be in a better position to meet your existing situation so we have to accept that and move on.

Tutoring Rate (IMPORTANT): I only do in-person tutoring because I believe effective learning is multi-dimensional and personal not flat and distant. You may purchase 30 minute increments and I offer a discounts for longer periods per session. My rates for children and teens will in principle be at least the same as adults because I actually invest more time and effort since I have to consider the feedback of at least 2 individuals (student+guardian) compared with an adult student. Different arrangements possible on a case-by-case basis. Please see each subject rate for more details.

When I am not tutoring, I am involved in projects related to technology, hospitality and service industries. I also enjoy cooking especially when I can make an ordinary dish into something extra-ordinary by adding that little "extra."

I️ was connected to Rod through a tutoring agency. I️ contacted the agency because I️ recently graduated college and wanted to get into grad school but had not taken a math class since the 10th grade. The school I️ was applying to needed a minimum math score for the GRE, which I️ knew would be a enormous stretch for me. Additionally, I️ always had trouble with math and knew I️ would need a tutor to re-teach me everything I️ needed to know to get the score I️ wanted. Initially, the agency connected me to 3 different tutors who were all absolutely terrible! Sometimes they didn’t even know how to answer sample questions in the workbooks! Finally, I was connected to Rod. After our first meeting I️ knew he would be the one who would help me improve. After a month of intense work with him my GRE math scores actually improved a full 12 points! Beyond that, he literally taught me math in a way in which I️ actually understood it. Before I️ just thought I couldn’t learn, but now I’m confident that I️ actually retained everything and it even made sense! I’m so grateful to have met Rod because before him I️ truly felt hopeless. I️ would definitely recommend Rod to anyone who is looking to drastically improve their math skills. If you’re like me and hate math, can’t grasp it, and even feel like you just can’t learn it, then definitely contact Rod now! You won’t be sorry!

I initially reached out to Rod for Algebra 1 review because I felt that my daughter lacked a solid foundation in algebra. However, after a couple of sessions, we have decided to switch gears toward geometry with Rod’s recommendation. Throughout the geometry lessons, algebra practice was incorporated. I am happy that not only did Rod tailor his lessons to my daughter’s goals but also he gave her a lot of encouragement. My daughter found it extremely helpful that she got to explain and discuss with Rod, which made lessons interactive and real learning. Now going back to school, my daughter feels confident, thanks to Rod!

Rod worked with my daughter weekly for a couple of months leading up to the NYC state tests. With Rod's careful, concerted planning and diligence, my daughter's score went from 2.4 on the 7th grade Math state test, to a 2.8 in 8th grade, which equates to a move from below the 50th percentile, to between the 50th and 75th percentile. My daughter's in-school math instruction was chaotic and disjointed, and I attribute her improvement to Rod's intervention.

I'm an experienced AP/undergrad/MBA Statistics and Excel tutor looking to help you or your child succeed. I understand statistics is not as simple as it seems, and professors, teachers, and the AP ask unintuitive questions. I'll break concepts down using plain English to help you or your child tackle the course load effectively.

About Kawin
Hi! I'm a statistics/Excel tutor with experience in AP, undergrad, MBA, and calc-based statistics. I know statistics can be unintuitive, and I'll work with you to reach your goals. I'll explain concepts and questions in coursework using relevant examples and plain English.

I'm available for long term tutoring as well as immediate assistance. I'm also used to teaching/drawing diagrams on online platforms, and can guide you through the process.

I’m a graduate from Cornell University and a former Accenture statistical analytics consultant. I received my Master of Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Operations Research.

While at Accenture, I’ve taught clients introductory statistics to give them the tools to understand business data. I enjoy teaching Math, Statistics, and general digital marketing/statistics. I also have experien
ce in statistical data mining and script programming using R.

I’m passionate about making sure my students are equipped with a deeper understanding of seemingly difficult topics. I like using a combination of visuals and situations relatable to a students’ interests. In my experience, abstract topics like Statistics tend to be easier to understand when people visualize a concept on paper or online.

In my spare time, I follow the NBA and NFL. I’m also a semi-professional hip hop dancer.

Kawin is an awesome tutor. I was taking a Stats class at NYU, and I was struggling a lot. He was able help me understand the concepts. He also taught me how to identify key words that would help me select the correct equations to solve the problems. I don't think I would have passed the class without his help. I got a "B" in the class, and it sure felt like an "A"!

I worked with many tutors before finding Kawin. He has been an incredibly supportive and reliable resource for me as I manage through the challenges of graduate school. Kawin has an extremely high level of patience and will work with you to simplify even the most complicated concepts. In addition to his patience level, he listens to you without judgment and will reframe his instruction until you thoroughly understand it. I would recommend him without reservation!

Statistics tell us about the world around us everyday. My career in epidemiology relies on well-done stats! I hope to engage learners using real world examples so they not only learn the subject, but appreciate its applications.

About Brooke
I am currently a PhD student studying epidemiology and infectious disease. I've worked all over the world and am comfortable with lots of different people. I am happy to tailor my lessons to how you learn. I love helping those studying increase their knowledge and succeed!

I was an English Language teaching assistant in Italy after I graduated college in 2008. I also am familiar with private lessons as I tutored adults in English during my time abroad, as well.

As a public health professional I have often needed to lead educational sessions on good clinical practices, malaria biology and other various topics.

I have tutored many students in Statistics. Whether your professor wants you to solve problems manually, with a scientific calculator, or with online software, I can help de-mystify the concepts. My students have gone from failing or barely passing to excelling in their courses.

About Angeline
I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Pre-Medical Biology major and psychology minor. Shortly after I graduated, I tested into the American Mensa organization (an organization open to those with IQs in the top 2% of the population). Prior to becoming a full-time tutor, I worked in various industries, including healthcare, IT security and web development. I have taken the SAT, GRE, GMAT, LSAT and the MCAT, so I am familiar with the major tests and their associated strategies.

I decided to become a tutor because I understand how important it is to invest in our youth's education. With my particular background, my professional interests involve the math and sciences as well as standardized tests. I predominantly work with high school children to young adult college students, especially young ladies, as we need more of th
em in the STEM fields.

I'm a down to earth, easy-going tutor. In my sessions, I make learning fun and accessible whether your goal is to understand Calculus or improve your SAT score.
