I am dedicated to creating individual lessons to meet the goals and needs of each of my students. I have tutored privately as well as at a tutoring center. I received my Bachelor's of Science in Mathematics from the University of Puget Sound in Washington.

I will help you to improve your understanding as well as your grade. I am patient and I will answer all of your questions. I am a retired college professor, so I have 20+ years of experience to work with students of all ages and backgrounds.

Math is one of my specialties. Whenever a student tells me that he or she is unable to do math, I welcome that as a fun challenge. Math is not impossible - you just haven't grasped it yet.

Students will receive individualized instruction to understand concepts in the way that they learn! Allison has the ability to relate and help you understand not only the basics, as she has taught these concepts successfully to thousands of other students who struggle in math.

Pre-calculus is another one of my favorites, as it reveals a sneak peak to the aesthetic horizons that decorate its older sibling, Calculus. Pre-Calculus emphasizes on the ammunition that you will need to tackle calculus, as well as foreshadow what to expect the following year. With me, you will learn the basics behind the Trigonometric Identities, Inverse functions,exponential and logarithmic functions, limits, and the sequences and series that will be applied in advanced mathematics.
I break down this precursor into simplified portions that can be individually attacked, and then later combined, like a puzzle to the overall big picture. Frankly, most people fail at calculus because they failed at understanding pre-calculus; I strive to disprove this reality by making pre-calculus as clear and concise as possible. I have always succeeded in bringing results in this component of math, because it's always been my duty to 'propel pre-calculus'.

I have tutored students in a variety of math courses, going from basic Algebra up to Calculus 3. With a good foundation, any topic is manageable. Homework is key and my students have to complete it before our lesson. Before any of my lessons, I ask the student to send me an outline of the topics they would like to go over and I prepare accordingly. This way my time and their time is used efficiently.
