I've used calculus in my career for 35 years, as a mechanical engineer and a computational physicist. I know how to solve problems from several different perspectives, so if a student is struggling with one method, I have a repertoire of other techniques to deploy. I find that students thrive when they are given solid examples of solutions and the content isn't hidden from them. I can help expand a student's advantage with computational tools such as Excel and Matlab to accelerate knowledge and deeper understanding.

I strive to not just teach the subject, but also the psychology of elite test-takers, to not just get you ready for one test, but to also teach you the process that allows for repeated & continued success.

With my quadrilingual ability, I created “La Méthode” or in English, The Method, a tutoring style combining the best of the American and the French approachs to learning so that students can learn from world-renowned theories at the same time as they discover more practical examples to delve into.

My goal is to see you so proficient with the subject that you are able to teach it yourself.

I am an MIT tutor specializing in math and science, and I have taught math anywhere between pre-algebra and calculus (including algebra) for 5 years. I have taken AP Calculus BC while in high school, and I have taken Multivariable Calculus and Differential Equations at MIT, and I actively participated in many math competitions through elementary, middle, and high schools.

Before the lessons, I like to talk with parents, students, and/or teachers to fully gauge what they have been struggling with and how to best help them. Then I identify the student's gap in knowledge while helping them complete their homework and give them additional drilling problems as needed to help them fully master the materials and do well on their tests. I always carry around AP Calculus prep books or college calculus practice problems (depending on the students' levels) so that the students can practice these problems as needed. I also provide them with additional resources and practice problems as needed.

I taught myself calculus freshman year of HS. I know firsthand how difficult it is to learn math, but I have overcame these challenges myself and will guide you to overcome them too. I stress understanding/intuition rather than memorizing boring formulas as that's how I learned it myself.

I also have close to 8 years of math/computer science tutoring experience, which will surely come in handy!

I use the simplest way to teach and very interactive manner, so it make the subject more interesting and easiest to understand.
