My name is Thomas, and I teach piano and singing lessons in Kansas City. I've just accepted a contract for "Carmen" at Lyric Opera of Kansas City, my 93rd show! I also serve as a section leader in the Trinity Choir of Grace and Holy Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, which tours to the British Isles every three years! As a member of the Trinity Choir, I've been able to sing in France, Italy, Austria, Ireland, Scotland and, of course, England!

Kansas City is not just famous for its barbecue, it is renowned as an up-and-coming vibrant place for the arts. With the new Kauffman Center, Music Hall, Sprint Center, Crossroads District for the Arts, and First Fridays, the number of performance venues for your talent is incredible. Most cathedrals and larger churches employ section leaders. These types of community centers are great places to start, where you can meet local singers who know the scene and are active in other organizations. These singers are knowledgeable guides to auditioning and performing in the many organizations available to you in Kansas City. Larger churches also feature their own concert series and recitals, which give you opportunities to perform.
Additionally, Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral is an arts presenter and hosts the annual BACHATHON, a five hour extravaganza of music by Johann Sebastian Bach, held on the Sunday closest to Bach's birthday every year. Check out its website here: http://www.kcago.com/bachathon.html
