James and I worked together for 4 months at an elementary school tutoring 3-5 graders in math and english. James is professional, intelligent, and creative. It was a pleasure working with him. He cares very much for the youth in our community.
We've stayed in touch via email and are developing a friendship I hope lasts a life time. He is good people.

Great first lesson. Kathleen contacted me in advance to find out what I’d like to work on and she was prepared with several options tonight. Her helpful tips on folding and diagram reading were just what I was looking for. We agreed on the next piece and I’m already looking forward to our next lesson. Thank you!

I was looking for a boost to my new hobby with origami, and have had two lessons so far with Kathleen. I couldn't be happier with the lesson experience; her approach is detailed, clear, easy to follow along with and relaxed. She was even folding upside down from her point of view so that I could see from across the table. I was really impressed. There's nothing like learning from a real person. Definitely looking forward to more lessons in the future.

My daughter had her first session with Tuwanda yesterday and had an awesome session! Tuwanda is very personable and they clicked very quickly. After they reviewed what my daughter had done in the past they began a new project. My daughter is very excited for her future sessions! Tuwanda was great!

About Chris
Experience Summary:

More than twenty years of tournament experience; tournament wins; wins against master (2300) players. Three years teaching experience, including online and in person lessons for both children and adults. Presented lectures at the Texas Tech Knight Raiders chess club on tactics and combinations.

Teaching Style:

My teaching style is progressive and tailored to the individual student. Each lesson builds on what was learned before. We go over games that the student has played, especially losses to higher rated players. For beginning players and juniors I teach the fundamentals and build from there. Suggested books are Comprehensive Chess Course, for beginners, and Chess The Easy Way by Reuben Fine, for more advanced players.

Hobbies:

You have not entered any information here (but it's optional)

Other Comments:

For o
ne-on-one lessons, we meet weekly at a quiet place such as a bookstore or library. I also give lessons in the home. Lessons are one hour in length. Bring the game score of recent games for us to look at, if possible! I encourage students to play during the week and can give you info on local clubs and other places to play.

About Anastasia
Hello everyone!
I am excited that you are considering me as your teacher!
I have been crocheting for 7 years and have taught several others how to crochet. There are many reasons to crochet and all of them are good. I like crochet because it is fun and gives my hands something to do when watching movies and TV. I get to create fun, cute, and practical items with my crochet that I can make as personal as I want. In addition to crocheting for myself, I also sell my crocheted items at craft fairs. I love working with others who want to learn and enjoy working with those who have special needs. I am good at working with people in their own pace and helping people.
I look forward to working with you!
