Theatre! If you're a young actor you may be saying, " Oh, I'll never do theatre!. Only Film!" And I'm gonna tell you you're gonna need to know how to ACT! Get in here! I coach all levels of actors. I want you to explore what it's like to experience the unbelievable amount of satisfaction you can have by allowing yourself to study acting. I teach from a method base and will work on monologues and audition materials, collaborating with you on what it is you need to understand how we go about doing this thing called acting. One thing you must know about me, I am really nice. I won't crush your dreams. I will, however, make sure you attain them. I can come to you or you can meet me where I teach. I am in SF and Los Angeles. I successfully work virtually with many people. If you want to act, we can make it happen.

About Kathryn
Kathryn K - I am happy to be offering acting, singing performance sessions and speaking lessons. I am here to help you delve into your creativity in a supportive way.
My students have booked in the Hulu hit Chance, HBO's, Thirteen Reasons Why, Looking, Woody Allen's, Blue Jasmine, Touching Home, starring Ed Harris and Generations, productions including Theatreworks, Pride and Prejudice, Berkeley Repertory's, Hand to God, and there are many more in each of these categories and countless commercials. (Nationals and Regionals) and most have landed agents. Many have joined SAGAFTRA and Actors Equity or their way to becoming part of our performers unions. I am also fortunate to work with screenwriters and keynote speakers.
I offer artistic and industry assistance at no additional charge. When you study acting / singing performance w/ me you
'll also learn about the BUSINESS OF SHOW BUSINESS.
We will work on technique, audition technique, monologues, scene work, as well study all aspects of acting and singing performance in order to prepare you for where you want to be as an artist.
Actors and Singers
Auditions!!
They are definitely the most difficult and nerve wracking part of being an actor or singer, right? Booking work means your audition has to be as good as opening night.
Auditioning is about preparation and preparation takes consistent support. Look, showbiz is not a business about being alone. Artists thrive when working together. We are a collaborative bunch and collaborating to make sure you're ready and organized for your auditions makes sense.
Stop trying to muscle through this necessary step alone. No one who works consistently does that! They ask for help. ASK FOR HELP!!
Solidify your acting choices so you don't have to worry about them the day before your audition. Know your prep so you can internally drop into it when the casting director says, "Whenever you're ready."
Have your music material and performance choices prepared ahead of time.
BE AHEAD OF SCHEDULE.
Work with me when your agent sends you your sides so you show up READY. Know your lines. It's OK if your struggling with memorization.
Let's figure out How YOU memorize.
Let me coach you for online audition submissions.
If we are working virtually I will coach while you are taping yourself to submit your online audition. It works!
Let me collaborate with on script analysis in order for you to you understand your material before you audition.
Take your work seriously so you bring your most intelligent and inspiring work to the audition rooms.
You'll be bringing the agents, casting directors, directors, producers and writers the inspiration they crave regarding their beloved projects. Do that and you're gonna book.
I know you can work and I can't wait to make it happen with you.

Kathryn is an amazing teacher! I've been working with her for nearly a year now. At first I was hesitant doing classes online, but I don't regret taking the leap. I've definitely improved my acting skills in the months we've been working together; she gives great feedback and really cares about her students, not ONLY in the way of their acting skills. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to get into acting. I started out knowing nothing and I can say 100% that what I know now is largely in part of Kathryn!

I always try and surround myself with people who give me confidence and make me better. Kathryn does both of those. She doesn't view you as a dollar sign but as an artist. She's the coach that sends you "Happy Birthday" and "Get Well Soon" texts because she genuinely cares.

I've been with her for over a year already and have no plans of stopping. Thank you so much, Kathryn. :)

This is where most actors start. This is where you learn the basics and hone your craft. It may be where you stay. Many actors do. But even if you aspire to film stardom, start here.

I have interviewed several casting directors and they all say they love to see theater on an actor's resume. It tells them the actor has discipline and knows how to build a character. No matter what your goals are, THIS is where you start.

About Susan
Acting – I have taught all kinds of acting, including Audition Skills, Shakespeare, Stage, Film & TV, Dramatic, Comedic, whatever. I also have quite a bit of experience performing in all those arenas. I have a relationship with one of the best management agencies in the area, so my students get fast-tracked with her.

Voice – Anyone can sing. If you want to and have always thought you couldn't, you will be delighted when I prove you wrong. Training for the voice is pretty much the same, whatever style you are interested in. Then I'll coach you in your chosen style and we'll pick songs you like.

Singing beautifully is not enough. I can't tell you how many times I heard in grad school "beautiful voices are a dime a dozen." I will teach you how to OWN the song. That's what keeps people coming back.

Speaking – Every public spe
aker I know has lost their voice at some point, but not from talking too much. It's because they don't know how to use their voice properly. Learn that, and you need never lose your voice to over-use. That's easy to teach.

Writing – I have been a professional writer and editor for over eight years, with many books, articles, posts, newsletters, etc. to my name. I use – and teach – practical grammar, not just correct grammar. I can also help you make your words more powerful.

I feel that soon enough I'll be able to audition for roles in film and television. If you live in the Baltimore area and are interested in voice acting or any acting in general. I did not know what to expect when I signed up to take classes with Susan. I decided to take classes with her for two reasons: Her studio is not far from me and 2, the good reviews left by her clients. All I wanted was to learn the fundamentals and techniques about acting. Susan was excellent and very patient. She offered water in each lesson, which is also very kind. Her interpersonal connection brings a sense of comfort. Her studio is very neat and welcoming. I do not have regrets in my selections and I know you won't be disappointed too.

I have been teaching acting for five years, and been performing and directing in stage productions for twenty years. I have experience in singing, dancing, stand up, monologues, Shakespeare, magic acts, cabaret-- anything you could need help with creating or perfecting I'm here to help you!

Self awareness is paramount for my students. If you cannot be in the present then you have no truth. Students learn how to drop their minds, how to recognize emotions inside on a deeper level, and the importance of powerful storytelling, plus they learn how easy communicating is once fears and stresses are eliminated.

I recommend 12 classes for highest benefit, though if coaching for one event is what you need I can happily help there as well.

About Ash
Hi :) I'm Ash and I look forward to hearing about your goals!

Self-awareness is at the foundation of everything I teach. I have a varied skill set, but no matter what we work on you will receive from me powerful tools to take better care in approaching and enjoying your overall wellness.

Ask me as many questions as you like- I'm here to help YOU :)

I am willing to travel up to an hour for lessons. Let me know if you have location questions and check out my available locations! I also have Skype lessons available.

Teaching groups of kids or adults is what I do too. If you and your friends want a fun and powerful class in meditation, wellness goals or communication in acting or life let me know :)

With her patient and gentle approach, I would think that anybody would be able to learn from her. I have had the pleasure of watching her teach both children and adult, and I have learned a great deal in the process, and consider myself a student of hers aswell. She has been talking about being an actress for quite a while now, so we decided to let her take a few lessons to see if she likes it.
Ollie was really comprehensive of our needs and made us see the big picture of that world... just what we needed, to start walking into that direction on the right path.

Keith is fantastic! He expects the highest level of preparation and performance from me at all my lessons and thus pushes me to be a better performer every time. He tailors my lessons to exactly what I need - specific work for upcoming auditions as well as more general work to expand my repertoire. His lessons are also not not limited singing coaching - he also provides coaching in acting and movement. I feel like I have presented some of my best work to auditors as a result of working with Keith! About Orla
Hi there!

My name is Orla and I love singing and teaching others to sing! I began my vocal training at the age of 12 learning how to sing classical and musical theater music. I eventually went on to learn jazz and rock vocal techniques before going to Berklee College of Music in Boston where I learned how to sing celtic music and alternative contemporary styles.

The most important thing to me when working with singers of any age or ability is helping them learn the correct techniques to keep their voices safe and healthy while singing. With this strong foundation, my students will be able to achieve almost any style or level of singing they desire. It is totally possible to stretch your vocal range, learn a new style, or incorporate movement into your songs if you simply use the correct and healthy vocal techniques!
I also make s
ure to focus a lot on confidence and stage presence to help students prepare for upcoming auditions, showcases, concerts, and talent shows. With my voice lessons it is absolutely possible to transition out of your stage fright and own that stage like you were born to be there, because you were!! These are not only vocal coaching sessions, but complete performance-ready-workshops.
I am here to make all your singing and vocal performance dreams come true! I can't wait to sing with you :)

I have been a professional actor in the film + television industry for 16 years and counting. My training is mainly based in Meisner, with a degree in Character + Script Analysis from one of the best 2-year conservatories in the nation. I have also completed a Shakespeare Intensive course at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. I have a background in Uta Hagan's methods, Stanislavsky, Stella Adler and Lee Strasberg, so whatever your fancy, I would be able to help in a way specific to your process. I am still a working actor and have years worth of on-set experience as well and could help with any audition prep needed. I love working with actors helping them reach a greater level of understand of themselves + their processes!

About Haley
Hello! As someone who's worked professionally as an actor for over 16 years, I know first-hand how difficult it can be to find a coach you're comfortable with or who understands your particular process. No two actors are alike and what may work for one, may not work for another.

Meisner's technique was the one that has resonated deepest with me. The 2-year conservatory I graduated from taught his methods with a strong emphasis in the original precepts of Stanislavsky. However, before that I spent years studying Lee Strasberg, Uta Hagan, Boleslavsky and Michael Chekhov's methods. You could indeed say I've tried it all. I worked like a dog over a bone while studying and I know I'll never truly be done, which is also unbelievably exciting to me.

While my training is more theater-based, my experience is mainly in film + television. I
started working as a teenager and haven't stopped. My experience has also ranged from big budget movies (The Final Destination) to grittier, independent fare (Sugar Mountain). I have been the lead of every film I've done, save for one, which happened to be directed by my brilliant acting teacher, and I have worked with some of the most respected actors in the industry (Beau Bridges, Aidan Quinn, Jason Momoa, Rainn Wilson to name a few). I have had recurring guest stars on TV shows (Teen Wolf) and one episode arcs on others (The Librarians, Beauty and the Beast, Major Crimes). I also produce, write + direct my own films.

I love acting so much and I love people who are dedicated to becoming the best actors they can be. I have such a reverence for this art form, but recognize the importance of being irreverent while searching for a higher truth in a moment. I truly look forward to working + playing together to help you become a more truthful, confident actor!

I'd like to say that I was special in that regard but she has a way of effortlessly connecting with those she works with, so I was far from the only one. And although her connections are many, each one brings with it a uniqueness and a very personal touch. I certainly counted myself as one such person with whom she's had a unique connection. She has been my professor in class, my mentor on stage, and my friend in life.
Her style of instruction spoke to me immediately. She acknowledges your strengths and encourages you to improve your weaknesses, all with an ease that provides an uplifting sense of determination to be better. You WANT to succeed because of her faith in you. She recognizes the time and effort it takes to hone a skill and is relentless in offering her assistance to help you do so. Her patience to allow a student to find their footing is unmatched. And her willingness to collaborate with, and even learn from, her students not only shows her passion for teaching, but her humility as a person. I would recommend her to anyone looking for an experienced, qualified, passionate instructor who will provide any student with the necessary tools and encouragement to reach their full potential.

My 4+ years working with her definitively shaped my professional career. And even 15 years later, she checks in on me from time to time.

Cathy was my acting professor, mentor and coach throughout my 4 years in school. Her ability to coach actors into making their own discoveries is remarkable. As a coach and professor she never lets an actor lose sight of want they need or want from the other actors on stage. She doesn't teach you how to act she teaches you how to behave given the information your scene partner is giving you. Additionally she is one of the best audition prep coaches I've ever had. I honestly booked more roles when she was coaching me than I do now!:)

Cathy was my Professor, Director and mentor for my first two years at Saint Michael's College in Vermont. Cathy brought a wonderful expertise to each production we worked on and helped me improve not only in the scenes or plays we worked on, but as an actor in general. I also really enjoyed working as her teaching assistant for a beginners acting class at the college, and learned even more about the proper way to communicate my ideas in the theatre setting as well as practical, straightforward ways to improve my acting and my onstage relationships with scene partners.
