Hello! I have been crocheting for several years now. In your first lesson, I will walk students through selecting materials, learning a few basic stitches, and how to read a pattern. In your second lesson, we will begin working on a pattern from a few curated beginners patterns. In a third lesson, I will teach some additional stitches and provide an additional pattern for the student to complete.

My goal in my lessons is to teach students how to be successful in their crochet project, so they will feel prepared to take on more challenging patterns in the future. Crochet is relaxing, fun, and beautiful, and I want to inspire the same feelings when my students attend my lessons.

About Heather

I have been crocheting for about 3 years, and I love to share my passion with others! I have taught several friends and family members but I joined TakeLessons to try to branch out and teach others. in my day job, I am a project coordinator for an IT company, so crochet allows a great creative

Who doesn't want to learn how to make their own jewelry design with beads? I'm one of those who created an entire studio of beads supplies, learned everything that I know, and continue to experience with new opportunities. I make my own earrings and bracelets which are my first attempts that brought me to where I am. Now my portfolio extended to identifiers for wine glasses, necklaces, home decorations, shiny and colorful chains for prescription glasses.

My last creations just in time for Halloween are spiders which are very easy to make. The advantage is that any color and size of beads can make a creature of your imagination.

Tools required are minimal and the list for a certain project will be sent ahead of the class so you can work hands on along with me.

Note: a magnifying light is always a great asset to avoid straining the eyes and seeing close-up details.

About Isabela

Before reading about me, I'd like to share up front the honor that my newest student, R., has brought to me by choosing to learn Romanian. Nothing special so far except that he is 100 years old!!!! Yes, you read that correctly: a century old. He is the outmost inspiring person in my life by teachin

"Sam is a truly fantastic teacher. I am a clinical counselor and very picky with giving praise to anyone in the helping and teaching professions, but Sam, who (among other qualifications), also has a psychology AND teaching background, has a gift of making children feel almost instantly accepted, cherished, and excited. He is patient, warm, strategic but flexible, always adjusting to my daughter's needs in an instant. Sam provides that perfect combination of inciting commitment and a disciplined approach to learning while allowing a child to grow in his or her own pace and have fun while doing it that most children need, and I can whole-heartedly recommend him to anyone."
