With about 10 years of experience as a Mathematics Teacher, one of my passions is the opportunity to share knowledge and help individuals eager to improve. At the age of 19, I formally started working with students of all ages as a professor of Basic Mathematics, Algebra, Trigonometry, and Geometry, among others, at the Stephen W. Hawking Institute in Ecuador, my home country. We all should be determined to find an objective/career that would be our passion and reflects our life goal. This perspective encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and move to the USA, thanks to an Ecuadorian scholarship. Which was the commencement of my journey in Environmental Eng. focusing on Nanotechnology. At Vincennes Univ. IN, I gained experience in different Departments as a STEM, English, and Spanish tutor, which eventually led me to learn about the teaching-learning process of Higher Level Mathematics classes such as Algebra, Calculus with Analytic Geometry I and II, Intermediate Calculus, Differential Equations with Linear Algebra; besides other Engineering classes like Statics, Dynamics, Thermodynamics, among others, from 2015-2018. This past year, I had the chance to be a Mathematics professor for students of all ages, different countries, and backgrounds. It made me realize that being a bilingual professional gives me a peculiar characteristic about my teaching techniques. One of the phrases I identify with is "The universe always falls in love with a stubborn soul". Assuredly, obstacles do not matter when we strive for improvement and excellence. Sometimes calculus looks scary. It usually happens when things that we are doing are too abstract for us. I help by connecting calculus to real life and helping my students to understand why we are solving this problem this way and probably invent their own way to solve problems. I also had an honor scholarship which shows that I am driven by success at high standards. I hold an Advanced National Tutor Certificate. If a lesson is not cancelled, yet the student fails to show up within the first 15 minutes of the lesson, a no-show fee of 100% of that lesson will be kept. However, I completely understand that sometimes there may be an emergency. If this is the case, I am happy to reschedule the lesson for a later time if there is calendar availability, as long as the student messages me 24 hours prior to the scheduled session.

I have experience in teaching Calculus from the beginning stages of pre-calc all the way up to multivariable and beyond. Calculus was my most tutored subject in college and as such the subject I have the most expertise in. Students can expect to learn skills and develop proficiency in the following: Calculus I: Limits, continuous functions, rate of change, derivatives, implicit differentiation, maximum and minimum points and their applications, and development and application of the definite integral. Calculus II: Logarithmic, exponential, trigonometric and hyperbolic functions, techniques of integration, indeterminate forms, improper integrals, Taylor's formula, and infinite series. Calculus III: Polar coordinates, vectors and parametric equations, solid analytic geometry, and the calculus of several variables.

I use the topics of calculus every day. Our first couple of lessons will be for us to find your points of confusion.
