Theater Acting is a skill quite different from film acting. I have been teaching acting for three years. Build up repertoire, learn to dissect a character and a monologue, character development, finding a goal to become the character and deliver a line the right way.
Also encourage creating and writing your own work and researching others for inspiration.
Ali is also known for playing piano. She received her minor in Piano Performance within a year at Shorter College under Helen Ramsaur. She has been playing since she was five years old and has accompanied many people and musical productions.
Some of Ali's major influences include:
Linda Eder, Aretha Franklin, Jennifer Hudson, Lena Horne, Judy Garland, Whitney Houston, Billie Holliday, and Lara Fabian, Barbra Streisand

Ali loves to share her passion of music to the world and especially through her students. She loves to share new ideas and nuances along with the basics and fundamentals of technique. Although practice can be boring for the student, asking a student to pick at least one song to work on can help the student and the teacher have fun and learn at the same time. After a few months, not only will her students have fun, but they will learn how to be a better person and musician.

Dear Allie, We are so happy to have found you this summer. It is amazing to see Nicholas stay so focused and interested for an hour at the piano. His love of music seems to have grown since we started lessons with you. We really appreciate your capacity to adapt to his needs and to keep him excited. Thanks!
The mission of my studio is to create well-rounded, educated musicians who will always have a lifelong passion for the art no matter their long-term goals. I strive for my students to be:
(1) Lifelong learners who develop successful learning habits.
(2) Creative and critical thinkers who will become effective communicators.
(3) Responsible and respectful members of society who respect other cultures.
(4) Able to set short-term and long-term goals and be able to see them through to their success.
It is of the utmost importance that my stude
Although students differ in ability and development, I maintain high expectations for our students. I expect attention and respect in lessons, faithful and diligent practice, careful adherence to instructions, and an “I’ll-do-my-best” attitude. If students regularly meet these expectations, then they will excel to the level that they are able. It is my joy to help students master their music, to do the best they can, and to strive for and achieve excellence.
Lastly, I want students to enjoy and appreciate their instrument, music, and music-making; and I know as as a teacher, I am very influential in making this happen. Students develop enjoyment of music by understanding music, experiencing success in music, being exposed to good and varied genres of music, and receiving instruction from a teacher who is enthusiastic and encouraging. It is my goal to provide all of these opportunities for students, and as a result their lives will be enriched as they enjoy their instrument.

Theatre acting is one of my first loves. I have performed in countless plays and have trained in many methods and approaches. Everyone is different and one approach may work for one person, and another may work in an entirely different way. I have performed in 'Medea', as Medea, 'The Heiress,' as Mrs. Montgomery, and 'The Miracle Worker', as Annie Sullivan. She performed off Broadway in a review called 'Happy Hour,' and in Edinburgh, Scotland at the Fringe Festival in 'Stage Blood,' as Helga Vein.
I offer monologue prep and cold read prep for auditions for middle school, high school, and college.
I was offered a scholarship to the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow, Scotland after my audition in New York. I performed Mercutio's monologue from Romeo and Juliet as well as a piece from Chapter Two by Neil Simon.
I have a library of over 50 plays for use on auditions.
