Alex is an amazing teacher, sensitive to the level and needs and dreams of my eight year old daughter. She is tailoring lessons and challenging my daughter at a perfect pace, not too easy and just hard enough to inspire. What a great learning experience.

I've been teaching piano for over 20 years and emphasize the fundamental skills in the beginning: how to easily read music, play in time, sight-reading, basic music theory and basic scales and technique. I'm a versatile performing musician and composer myself and so love to teach all styles including classical, jazz, rock, blues and more! We have a student showcase party every year where all the students get together to perform and showcase their skills.

About Jim

My career in music began at an early age (four!) with classical piano lessons until the age of thirteen. After expanding my musical horizons in high school listening to jazz, blues and rock I attended Cabrillo College in Aptos, CA where I studied jazz & music theory with renowned jazz educator Ray B

My experience with Kathy has been great. It's been roughly five months and I learned a lot and I'm also much more confident to sing. Learning the right techniques is crucial. Kathy is extremely patient and she adapts the classes to the student goals and aspirations. English is not my first language and she was also always very respectful and patient in explaining everything twice or maybe three times until I get it.

Kathryn has a terrific demeanor, and provides clear, thoughtful suggestions for technique!

Terrible. Only taught 30 minutes out of 60 minute sessions. On the 3 session I mentioned it and he said he didn’t think my son needed more than that even though we paid for it. Was so disrespectful!!!! Never again!!! Highly unprofessional when asked about why he cut the lessons short. Please don’t leave your kids with this instructor work paying attention. He will get over on you if he thinks you’re not involved.

"Ms. Lorna is a wonderful teacher

We are thankful for the opportunity to have Ms. Lorna teach our kids the piano. We have a seven year old girl, who started with Ms. Lorna when she was five, and a four year old boy. Our kids love Ms. Lorna and so do we. She is great with our kids and the only person who can keep our four year old interested in something for more than 5 minutes. We have seen our kids learn and grow with Ms. Lorna."

"Lana is a truly gifted teacher. She started teaching our daughter when she was 6 (now turning 8). Her progress has been exceptional and she absolutely loves her lessons. Lana is patient and kind and never gets frustrated.. She always makes the lesson positive, upbeat, fun, and productive. Our daughter can tend to get frustrated when pieces get harder and Lana knows just when to pull back to a more fun, easier song, and when to push through and get amazing results. "Tim has taught our son piano for years and we think he is terrific! He is patient, knowledgeable and kind. He also has done an incredible job teaching him music theory along the way too. We are now realizing that our son's understanding of theory and music in general is way above that over other students, which is a huge help not just in piano but in how he plays trombone in his school band as well. Tim is a great teacher."

"Teresa is simply magical. She is an extraordinary music teacher. My son William is 6 and is learning to play the piano. He loves his time with Teresa and usually wishes his lesson was longer. This is a boy that does not care much for your typical soccer or karate class but music has stuck! He has FUN. Teresa makes it a FUN time.
As if that weren't enough, the waiting room for parents is so calming, peaceful, and a joy for me, personally! My husband and I both look forward to sitting there, browsing a cool magazine.
