Mathematics has been lost in translation in todays educational institution and this is obvious with new Common Core Strategies.

My experience has shown that when educating an individual, the less layers of complexity and the more pure conceptual math the better and more dynamic the understanding.

My lessons in all Mathematical courses include multiple perspective views of any topic, a visual, a auditory, and kinesthetic practice for finalization. This has been a successful practice in teaching all levels of educated individuals for the last 7+ years.

I have Complete understanding of Pre Calculus with tutoring experience for over 6 years.

As a student, I took AP Calculus my senior year of high school. I was the top student in my class and scored a 5 on the AP exam. In college, I continued my math education, completing 2 additional years of Calculus and advanced mathematics courses.

I have nearly 10 years experience tutoring Calculus, for students in AB/BC high school courses and university courses. Whether you just want to get through your Calculus course with a good grade so you can leave math behind for good (if math is NOT your thing) or you want to excel in your course to create a solid foundation for a continued education in mathematics/engineering and/or sciences, I can work with you to achieve your goals!

Precalculus sounds intimidating, but it is actually algebra 3. I’ve tutored many high school students, college students, and university students in core concepts like functions, graphing functions, trigonometry, and an introduction to calculus. I also walk students through a complete algebra review if they need to refresh their knowledge or have difficult concepts re-explained. For those preparing for calculus, I show them its connection to precalculus and why it is so critical for them to really understand and remember these concepts. Another course I am familiar with is advanced math, which is precalculus with trigonometry.

I can make a hard or boring subject easy and enjoyable to learn. My priority is student success - I work to make it happen. My ability comes from extensive experience, a history of student success, and personal achievement in the subject.

Students will be able to:
• Distinguish between the function forms of linear, quadratic, polynomial, rational functions, and composite functions
• Find roots of quadratic functions and polynomial functions of various degrees
• Understand functional relationships as well as inverse relationships
• Use a variety of graphing techniques to sketch functions (shifts, inverses, reciprocals)
• Apply the unit circle approach to understanding the fundamental properties of trigonometric functions and their applications, as well as graphs of these functions
• Define and derive properties of exponential and logarithmic functions
• Solve equations involving exponential and logarithmic expressions
• Analyze a wide variety of real world problems using these theoretical concepts of functions
