I coach all levels of actors. I want you to explore what it's like to experience the unbelievable amount of satisfaction you can have by allowing yourself to study acting and music. I teach from a method base and will work on monologues, scenes and audition materials, collaborating with you on what it is you need to understand how we go about doing this thing called acting. I can work virtually. One thing you must know about me, I am really nice. I won't crush your dreams. I will, however, make sure you attain them. I can come to you or you can meet me where I teach. I am in SF and Los Angeles. I successfully work virtually with many people. If you want to act, we can make it happen.

About Kathryn
Kathryn K - I am happy to be offering acting, singing performance sessions and speaking lessons. I am here to help you delve into your creativity in a supportive way.
My students have booked in the Hulu hit Chance, HBO's, Thirteen Reasons Why, Looking, Woody Allen's, Blue Jasmine, Touching Home, starring Ed Harris and Generations, productions including Theatreworks, Pride and Prejudice, Berkeley Repertory's, Hand to God, and there are many more in each of these categories and countless commercials. (Nationals and Regionals) and most have landed agents. Many have joined SAGAFTRA and Actors Equity or their way to becoming part of our performers unions. I am also fortunate to work with screenwriters and keynote speakers.
I offer artistic and industry assistance at no additional charge. When you study acting / singing performance w/ me you
'll also learn about the BUSINESS OF SHOW BUSINESS.
We will work on technique, audition technique, monologues, scene work, as well study all aspects of acting and singing performance in order to prepare you for where you want to be as an artist.
Actors and Singers
Auditions!!
They are definitely the most difficult and nerve wracking part of being an actor or singer, right? Booking work means your audition has to be as good as opening night.
Auditioning is about preparation and preparation takes consistent support. Look, showbiz is not a business about being alone. Artists thrive when working together. We are a collaborative bunch and collaborating to make sure you're ready and organized for your auditions makes sense.
Stop trying to muscle through this necessary step alone. No one who works consistently does that! They ask for help. ASK FOR HELP!!
Solidify your acting choices so you don't have to worry about them the day before your audition. Know your prep so you can internally drop into it when the casting director says, "Whenever you're ready."
Have your music material and performance choices prepared ahead of time.
BE AHEAD OF SCHEDULE.
Work with me when your agent sends you your sides so you show up READY. Know your lines. It's OK if your struggling with memorization.
Let's figure out How YOU memorize.
Let me coach you for online audition submissions.
If we are working virtually I will coach while you are taping yourself to submit your online audition. It works!
Let me collaborate with on script analysis in order for you to you understand your material before you audition.
Take your work seriously so you bring your most intelligent and inspiring work to the audition rooms.
You'll be bringing the agents, casting directors, directors, producers and writers the inspiration they crave regarding their beloved projects. Do that and you're gonna book.
I know you can work and I can't wait to make it happen with you.

Gil Gross, Host The Gil Gross Show –Radio, ABC "I have loved Kathryn's music from the day I first heard her sing, but even being a fan of her recordings did not prepare me for seeing her perform live. She is a great live performer holding her audience willing captives to each turn of a melody and the drama of every lyric. She more than sings. She inhabits a song and involves each member of the audience in its drama, joy or sorrow. There are performers for whom a performance is a night out. When Kathryn performs it’s a lifetime shared with us in a single evening. If you want to merely hear some tunes, there are many people who will do. If you want a real experience in music, there is Kathryn.
Kathryn's latest show is being created with director David Ford (Marsh Theatre) and Kevin Gerzevitz and her concerts features a who’s who list of world-renowned musicians: Gerzevitz and Grammy-Nominated Bassist, Michael Manring; Album of the Year Winner, Trumpeter, Jeff Oster; Master Percussionist, Joe Venegoni; Guitar Virtuoso, Tom Lattanand; Critically Acclaimed Pianist, Kelly Park; Celebrated Flutist, Barbara Else; and from the Steve Winwood Band, Brazilian-born Drummer, Celso Alberti.

Kathryn is an amazing teacher! I've been working with her for nearly a year now. At first I was hesitant doing classes online, but I don't regret taking the leap. I've definitely improved my acting skills in the months we've been working together; she gives great feedback and really cares about her students, not ONLY in the way of their acting skills. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to get into acting. I started out knowing nothing and I can say 100% that what I know now is largely in part of Kathryn!

I always try and surround myself with people who give me confidence and make me better. Kathryn does both of those. She doesn't view you as a dollar sign but as an artist. She's the coach that sends you "Happy Birthday" and "Get Well Soon" texts because she genuinely cares.

I've been with her for over a year already and have no plans of stopping. Thank you so much, Kathryn. :)

A classical education makes everything so much easier. There are basic classical rhetorical devices that are easy to use once you understand them and make acting so much more fun and simple. It is 'playing' after all and with these techniques that are just ages old and so ingrained in humanity and nature you will be delighted and challenged.

About Gina
As of May 10th, I am in New York City. I will be accepting new students for the summer months either in NYC or online.

I am studying Music in The Mills College Music Department and Center for Contemporary Music; in pursuit of my second MFA, specializing in Improvisation. My main instrument is Voice; I also study piano. That will add to my BFA in Dance from The Juilliard School, an MFA in Dance and my other fancy pants pedigrees!! I teach Music Improvisation as well as many other aspects of music and the list of subjects below.

I graduated from Juilliard in dance and pursued modern dance and all sorts of theatre, dance/theater, music/theater, experimental, modern and classical theater, post modern and modern dance. I have taught children and grown ups for many years. I have a strong performing career and love the way teaching ke
eps me in a giving and learning place.

*** Lesson Details ***
With beginning students I am very laid back and patient and believe strongly that in the play of games and experiments technique will develop and manifest. As the student becomes more advanced I become more demanding as do the materials. As an acting teacher I have an advanced capacity to take students along all the way to professional and beyond. I am a member of the Actors Studio, the performing unions and studied since childhood at ACT and then all over the world including The National in London.
In Singing and Piano I can be valuable to the beginning level and will want to send them to another teacher as they progress beyond my ability.
In dance I have a wide knowledge and can teach several forms as well as history and materials. In Juilliard I specialized in historical dance of the French Court which is also known as pre-ballet. At present I am studying Tango and other ballroom forms and can teach the beginning levels as well as help choreograph for weddings or events. Of course I can also teach Ballet and many forms of Modern Dance.I adore teaching dance composition. To help a dance student make dances is very very fulfilling to me. I work with other media to inspire, using painting and painters, poetry, sound and dream, ideas and desires. All to contribute in making a dance.
In Visual Arts I can teach Abstract Painting, Installation and Performance Art. I have taught children and adults and have a way of bringing the body's expression into the act of making visual art that I and my students find very successful.

*** Studio Equipment ***
I have supplies and space. Visual Art students need to contribute to materials by finding or purchasing whatever they like and adding to the mix. My students are welcome to use what I have here and I am always adding materials. Many people throw away materials that are perfectly good for art making so keep your eyes open and you'll find all kinds of good things. Visual Art students need to book a 2 hour minimum and I will lower the price if you just let me know you need it.

*** Travel Equipment ***
just a space to work in - we can create a work space out of any space.

*** Specialties ***
In dance I teach classical ballet principles for beginners or those who are returning and want to work carefully and privately. I teach from the tradition of Alfredo Corvino's principles of relationship to organic forms and structures for sound development. I studied with Mr Corvino for years and continue to study with Ernesta Corvino.
For acting I teach a combination of classical acting technique with American sense memory and relaxation skills. I am well versed in the teachings of Lee Strasberg and then spent time in London to 'fill in the cracks' of my training with analytical skills as well as the various european influences that the Royal National embrace.
I teach creative discovery in combination with classical devices so the student can discover their own artistry while learning actual classical devices for accomplishing specific goals.

I have had the opportunity to learn acting with Gina and it has been great so far. When I signed up for the lessons, I signed up with Gina because of her credentials as I never had an encounter with her. From my first class itself she has taught me a lot about acting specially stage acting and that too with great enthusiasm. I now feel like pursuing it further. She is quite knowledgeable specially in her field and every moment that you are in the class with her, you are learning something new. I would highly recommend her, doesn't matter if you are just getting into the field or trying to set your advanced level stage, her talents will teach you something new that would take you to the next level. I hope you can take advantage of learning from a Great Artist like Gina.
P.S. She is a great Dancer and a great Musician.

Good Luck!

I have real specialty in Shakespearean acting. This is a wonderful craft to learn whether you desire to be a professional actor or if this is a hobby that you enjoy. You will learn about phrasing, what all those "weird" words mean, technical aspects of poetry and how to act authentically and powerfully with this language. Your voice and clarity will strengthen through this work. If you are looking for an interesting way to build confidence, come and tackle some Shakespeare! It's really fun!

About Christine
Christine has been a professional in the theatre since 1992. She received her training from Boston Conservatory and New York University and has been a company member in Tony-award winning regional theatres.

Christine specializes in vocal production, has a three-octave range and is adept at various character voices, accents and musical styles. She has sung in several musicals, wedding and church bands, and has given several solo performances since her childhood.

Christine's personal developments are around creating new musicals, composition, songwriting and exploring fusion methods in several musical styles including pop, jazz, rock, blues, neo-soul, new age, electronica, experimental and ethnic music.

Christine also plays piano, rhythm guitar and percussion, and has served as a director, soloist and accompanist for severa
l churches and community efforts.

Making music and singing should be fun, and everyone deserves to have a great experience with their instrument for the rest of their lives. I take pride in guiding my students in exploring their potential in a safe, creative and non-judgmental environment. My students will learn to develop courage and confidence, grow their ears and appreciation for music in all its forms, and expand their range, power and musical skills.

Your lessons will be tailored according to your goals, dreams and personal motivation. I will offer you resources and show you how to use research as way to become independent when preparing your lessons, auditions and performances. If you are an aspiring guitarist/songwriter, I will teach you the basics of playing the guitar and offer you fun techniques to build those callouses, play rhythmically with confidence and coordinate your playing with your singing.

Whether you are completely inexperienced, naturally gifted, shy, ambitious about a professional career or just looking for an outlet that feels good, I am here to help you. You will not only learn technical skills and many tricks for beating stage fright and crafting a performance, but you will also learn to share your unique personality on stage, and learn to perform with feeling, heart and honesty.

Everyone has something beautiful and wonderful to offer the world and I look forward to meeting you and discovering your special voice and sound!

*** Studio Equipment ***
My lessons are conducted in my home in an open living room area. I have a keyboard and a guitar. You must bring your own guitar (an acoustic or acoustic electric - sorry, I do not teach lessons with electric guitars) and, if you have "accompaniment" karaoke CDs (or mp3 on your phone or laptop) and/or sheet music that you have been working with, I encourage you to bring those.

*** Travel Equipment ***
Home lessons are negotiable and I would bring a guitar and/or a percussive instrument. Your home must have a room where lessons can be conducted free from distraction (incl. pets and siblings) and have enough space for exercises and instruments. It must also be in-view of the family and have an open. Group lessons are negotiable. :-)

*** Specialties ***
I specialize in singing, songwriting, voice, speech and acting. I also teach beginning lessons in guitar and piano. Other specializations: International Phonetic Alphabet, Accent Reduction, Musical Theatre, Classical Theatre (Shakespeare, Greeks), Movement Theatre (Mime, Period Movement, Stage Combat), Singing Styles (Jazz, Pop, Rock, Classical, Gospel, Musical Theatre, Sacred Chant).

Approaching Shakespeare's text from an actor's point of view is the best way to understand and engage with the vitality of Shakespeare's language. Shakespeare embedded clues for his actors to unlock the meaning and emotion within the words. By learning a few fundamentals, students will physically connect with Shakespeare's text and be able to make strong character choices. Whether you are a student studying Shakespeare as literature, an actor wishing to work on classical texts, or a litigator or executive wishing to improve your public rhetoric, studying Shakespeare in performance is incredibly valuable.

About Michael
Michael L has been a working actor in Theatre, Film and Television since 1998. Since graduating cum laude from George Washington University he has dedicated himself to teaching and practicing the craft of acting. Michael was a classical acting fellow at the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington,DC under the artistic direction of Michael Kahn. There he honed his classical acting skills and earned his equity card later becoming an affiliated teaching artist with the theatre. He has performed there as well as many of the country's finest regional theaters including: The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Arena Stage, Williamstown Theatre Festival, Geva Theatre Center, Washington Shakespeare Company and most recently Actor's Playhouse in Coral Gables. "Miss Patty" teaches my daughter Shakira at a CPS school. I hired her for 5 private lessons cuz my daughter was auditioning for a part. Pat's chill lady, cool around kids and knows her thing. Shakira loves it and they have a bond. I would say it was a very good experience and if the wants to keep doing acting I will send her back her for my privates cuz it's easier than a room filled with others. I like the personal attention

Great lady, really funny and terrific personality. Her instruction was no nonsense. After chatting a few minutes with her, we got right to work on the basics. I learned so much about how unprepared I was and she really help me gain my courage. I moved from Portland a few years ago and I'm still learning the city and about some of it's artists. I did want to book last minute with Pat but she wants a week out appt. and on one occasion she could not meet up with me for a lesson. Hope to see her again however; really talented woman.

A couple years ago my son was cast as the Grinch in a school production. I found her thru Facebook. She gave him 2 lessons and then spent time with him on the phone. Mark is a great kid but he has autism so it can be a challenge. Patricia had experience working with special needs students and I must say she was impressive. Marky took to her right away, she didn't talk down to him, but was a cool friend as well as a teacher. She brought him out of that shell and gave him a lot of attention, was patient and understanding with him. I was proud when he did his thing at school. Highly recommend her especially good with kids. My only issue was scheduling. For the first lesson I was hoping she could come to us and we lived too far then I did have to wait a week or so to book another time but we did get in a couple lessons in time for his show.
