I took AP Calculus my senior year of high school. I loved the course and excelled naturally, keeping the highest class grade throughout and finishing with a 5 on the AP exam. At USC, I continued this path and worked up to all levels of calculus offered, and beyond.
I have 7+ years experience tutoring Calculus, much of which has been working with AP students. I aim to prepare them for the exam, while helping ensure a good course grade.
Whether your [son or daughter] just wants to get through their Calculus course and maintain solid grades OR they want to excel in the course to create a solid foundation for a continued education in mathematics/engineering and/or sciences, I can help!!
Why put off until tomorrow what you can do today? Contact me to get started right away!
About Erin
My assistance doesn't stop just because the lesson is over. I make myself available to students (via email) for as-needed homework and study-related questions.
I have nearly 10 years experience working as an educator.
I am honored to work with students throughout the year, for long-term results, but am also happy to assist with short-term needs such as midterm/final exam preparation.

Calculus is the climax of all of the mathematics you've been learning from Kindergarten through college; I take that into account when tutoring calculus, as it is deeply rooted in the concepts that you have learned in your past math classes, and it has a direct relationship with pre-calculus, trigonometry and Algebra II. I believe that calculus has unfairly been branded 'the most difficult mathematical subject' simply because most people fail to understand it's prerequisites. I dispel the phobia of calculus by seizing every opportunity to relate its hard parts to the basic concepts in mathematics (that we understand better) that define it. For example: I make compelling analogies using easier concepts in algebra, such as evaluating expressions, in order to facilitate the learning process during your introduction to limits and continuity. Allow me to mollify your acquisition of knowledge in calculus, and endorse your effort to 'chastise calculus'.
About Amadou
As an engineering-inclined individual, I encourage an exemplary study ethic in my students as well as an organized and systematic approach geared towards maximizing student grades/scores. I also bring results by relating to my students by incorporating elements of the things that they like (sports, hobbies, m
Having lived in over 20 countries has also permitted me to maintain my patience, composure and sense of flexibility and open-mindedness when dealing with even the most extreme personalities. I believe that everyone has potential; however potential is worthless unless put in motion. And experts like me take pride in our abilities to give students that push, that jolt of energy that galvanizes them into pulling themselves up by their own bootstraps, allowing them to achieve academic excellence.

I was the top calculus student in my high school class, and received a 5 on the AP Calculus exam. I also won the high school medal for top math student in my high school.
About Marwan
Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, I graduated from Cornell University in Electrical & Computer Engineering, with a minor in Music.
As a student, I was President of the Cornell Piano Society for 4 years. I spent much time teaching piano and music theory to fellow Cornell students, faculty, and staff. I've also organized many concerts, recitals, and events during my tenure.
After college, I went on to work for Intel & Apple as an engineer, while continuing to teach and tutor on the side. Later on, I founded my own startup company centered around Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, and unmet needs in the B2C market.

As an engineer, I use calculus on a daily basis to solve problems, and this includes multi-variable and vector calculus. Taking a calculus course and knowing the steps to solve a derivative or integral is one thing, but applying calculus concepts to problems in engineering and physics (i.e. biomechanics or fluid mechanics) is the true mark of understanding calculus - something I've learned how to do over many years of applying what I learned in my calculus courses. Sure, calculus can be a challenging subject at times, but with a focus on geometric representations, attaining a solid understanding of the concepts is well within reach, and that is the way I approach the subject with my students. For example, I don't just show you how to analytically solve an integral, I show you what an integral is, and what the solution means. When you understand calculus on this level, you'll be able to work through any of the curve ball questions your teacher might throw in on an exam.
About Colin
As a tutor, my goal is not to impress students with how much I know. Rather, my goal is to show my students how easily math and science concepts can come to them when they are presented the material in a straightforward way. The late physicist, Richard Feynman, posited that the ability to explain complicated ideas in a simple manner is the true mark of understanding. I agree with this a
My online teaching platform is a “black board” drawing program that my students can follow along with as I explain concepts and solve problems. I simply share my screen with them during the session, and at the end, I take a screenshot of the notes and email it to my students for their reference. I hope this brief explanation of my qualifications and teaching style has provided a clear image of what you can expect from me as your tutor. I am eager to hear from you and help you succeed in your academic goals!
