My daughter started a series of lessons with Kristen in preparation of her high school play audition. It was very clear that Kristen is extremely knowledgeable of all technical aspects of singing & able to clearly communicate. My daughter really enjoyed her initial lesson w/ Kristen & is confident that she will be well prepared for her school’s play auditions.

Hi! I play Marty on the Golden Globe winning show Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. My students of all ages have something in common; they work. Wether your background is theater or film, comedy or drama, amateur or pro; You will learn to use the camera to improve your performance, make strong choices and connect to both your scene partner and the audience.

About Hunter

From the hit TV comedy Crazy Ex-Girlfriend to drama at The Tony Award winning Steppenwolf Theater, my 20 year acting career has taught me many lessons to share. As a working writer/director this has only grown.

I love teaching. There are few things as rewarding as being a part of a students development and their personal victories.
Many of my students have achieved notable representation and consistently work. Other students are simply pursuing acting as a passion or a tool to gain confidence. Whether it's audition prep or personal development, if you bring the drive, I promise to get you to your goals ... oh, and we'll have a lot of fun on the way. After all, it's called a "play" for a reason.

Acting is such a broad term! What are your goals? Do you want to be in films? Do you want to do Shakespeare? Do you want to be in a sit com? Depending upon what your interests are and where you want to go, we will build a plan together. My philosophy on acting techniques is that they are tools to help you, not tests you pass if you're a good actor and fail if you're a bad one. Different techniques work for different people and it is our job to find out what inspires you.

I've worked as a professional actor for many years, performed on Broadway, have my MFA in Performing Arts, and my BA in Arts and Education. I was an assistant director to Tony-winner Sharon Ott and have written and produced my own work. I have experience in both stage and camera acting, which have specific technical differences, but are both a lot of fun once you get used to the medium. Audition technique, preparing monologues, and creating promotional materials are also things I can help with. Anyone who wants to ...

About Rebecca

My approach is both supportive and pragmatic, based on where each individual's skill set is right now and what your specific goals are. I've had the benefit of both formal instruction as well as a decade in the "school of hard knocks." Climbing up the ladder to earn my Equity Card on a Production Contact taught me a lot and I believe gave me a nuanced perspective as a performer.

Over 95% of my career is from attending open calls, including finding representation and my Broadway debut.

I continue to audition for film, television, and theatre, as well as perform in concerts and other venues. I write and produce my own work and am currently signed with Roth and Associates East.

A-mazing! She’s an awesome mentor! Her approach to singing is brilliant in the sense that she helps you explore yourself, your strengths and areas you could work on to improve. She helps you find and utilize your voice in a way that makes a unique artist. She digs in right to the foundation of singing (vocals) and performing. I am glad to have found her! And to add up, I never had a dull moment with her with her sense of humor and caring approach!

Hi friends,

It is nice to meet you! I am an 'Emmy Nominated' actor and twenty five year veteran actor on the longest running show in broadcast history 'The Guiding Light.' I was fortunate to study acting from the legendary acting teacher Stella Adler and Larry Moss. I'm also a student and performer from the highly acclaimed Improv group 'The Groundlings'.

My credits include the recurring role of Dr. Stewart Farmingham on the popular ABC series Doogie Howser, M.D.and Paul in It's a Small World, part of an anthology series produced by David Lynch for HBO and Lead featured roles in Law and Order. I have booked numerous lead roles in feature films and off-Broadway and national television commercials. My American Express commercial won the ESPY award for best commercial of

the year.

I’m proud to announce distribution of my award winning comedy soap spoof, 'Steamboat' now available on Roku and NetTalk.

My first play as a playwright, 'Breathing Under Dirt' was awarded ''Best Play' at the Manhattan Repertory One Act Festival in March of 2016. ‘Breathing Under Dirt' is now getting Broadway consideration with the highly acclaimed director Larry Moss at the helm. I have just completed my second play 'Red Rain' which explores the themes of war and peace that collide within a family during the Vietnam War.' Red Rain' is currently being work shopped in NYC for a production launch in early 2020.

I prepare you to win.

I am not just a acting teacher but a mentor to help build your career.

Private Film Acting Teacher

I bring many of the values from my directing work into my teaching. I am more interested in watching actors stretch and grow, learning to exercise new skills rather than develop a "type" based on natural strengths.

I've developed a toolbox, using techniques from Viewpoints, Suzuki, mask work, Meisner, and clown, which I adapt into personalized lessons based on the needs of each student. Lessons will also involve thorough text work and character analysis.

I'd love to hear from you!

About Kieran

I am a Bay Area director, producer, and actor focused on devised and ensemble performance, development of new work, and subversion of classics. Recent favorite directing credits include Sarafael (The Forum), Where the Boys Are (FaultLine Theater), Hidden: A Gender (Variance Festival) Pains of Youth (independently produced) and The Tempest (Barnstorm). I have assistant-directed around the Bay Area, including TheatreWorks Silicon Valley, Magic Theatre, and Shakespeare Santa Cruz and sat on the literary council for the Bay Area Playwrights Festival. I am a two-time CA$H Grant recipient, a company member at the Ubuntu Theater Project, a former artistic director of the U.C. Santa Cruz poor theatre performance lab, Barnstorm, and a founding member of The Forum.

As both a teacher and a director, it is my job to identify potential areas of g

rowth. I've developed a toolbox of techniques, largely from Viewpoints, Suzuki, ensemble work, Meisner, devising, and mask work, that I adapt, creating exercises personalized for each student. Lessons will also include thorough text work and character analysis.

As a producer and director I always ask auditioning actors if they are taking acting lessons. If they are it means they will not be stuck on a single track and can be directed. I studied acting under Lawrence Merrick, I wanted to become a better director.
I teach using the Stanislavsky method of teaching. Depending on the actors experience I go through three steps. Preparation, Building a character, creating a role. "There are no small parts'
I will stay with you from Audition to role.

About Edward Lee

I have produced or directed feature films, commercials and stage productions for over 30 years. While in new your I was a director for the New York Council on the arts and directed stage around the state. At that time I also taught acting (something I love to do, watching an actor grow in their craft was always exciting). I am a student of Stanislavsky and use his teaching method in my classes. I have, in my career, hired hundreds of actors and actresses so I know how a casting directors mind works. Acting is hard work but the rewards are worth it.

Private Film Acting Teacher

Hello! I'm Dominic R. (though I'm commonly known as "that guy" to very close friends) and I'm an artist. I'm an actor, teacher, singer, comedian, writer, graphic designer, and a really, horribly novice ukulele player.

I. LOVE. ACTING. And I love sharing my passion for that with other people, actors and non-actors alike.

In my acting coachings, I utilize many different exercises to make sure that each student has the knowledge and techniques required for them to feel completely, fearlessly themself. Every artist approaches their craft differently, but in acting, honesty is everything. Together, we'll discover what that means for you and how to make you shine your brightest light on stage or on camera.

Topics Include:
On-Camera Acting
On-Stage Acting
Musical Theatre Coachings
Audition Prep
Comedic Writing and Performance
Cold Reading Skills
and more!

About Dominic

Hello! I'm Dominic R. (though I'm commonly known as "that guy" to very close friends) and I'm an artist. I'm an actor, teacher, singer, comedian, writer, graphic designer, and a really, horribly novice ukulele player. People ask how long I have been an actor for and generally don't believe me when I tell them I've been acting almost my whole life! Since my days as an Oscar Meyer Weiner kid, it's just been in my blood.

I. LOVE. ACTING. And I love sharing my passion for that with other people, actors and non-actors alike. I have ten years of professional acting experience in Chicagoland and New York, I'm an instructor at the Actors Training Center in Wilmette, and I am the Founding Artistic Director of Lantern Theatre: A Marist Performing Arts Group. I'm a 2013 graduate of Columbia College Chicago (BA: Acting) and 2011 graduate of The Se

cond City's Comedy Studies Program.

When I teach, each class is structured based off the student's individual wants and goals, but all of my acting coaching relationships start with a chat! What are your goals with acting lessons? What are your career goals? What sort of experience, or lack-thereof, do you have in the field? Do you have any dream roles from movies, TV, musicals, plays, etc.? Who are your favorite actors?

I believe that it's important for an acting coach to get a sense of their student's mannerisms, sense of humor, and general personality. Chatting about the items above give me a sense of who you are as a person, as well!

The beautiful thing about actors is that they HAVE TO come in all shapes, colors, ages, and sizes!! I have coached six year olds, I have coached 80 year olds, I have coached Shakespearean sonnets, and I have coached improvised comedy sketch material. No matter the background of the actor, the techniques stay the same!
