Using a mixture of the Suzuki method and contemporary pieces, each lesson will provide both a strong foundation in technique and musicianship as well as the flexibility to follow each student's musical interests and passions. Ear training and general theory are taught at all levels, and my overarching goal is to foster a sense of joy and accomplishment in each student when it comes to music.

About Jon

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Jon begged his parents for piano lessons in preschool; they agreed, as soon as he could show that he was able to sit still for a half hour. Twenty eight years later, the piano is still the central figure in his life. Jon was on the classical track, playing Carnegie Hall in

I'm a 52 year-old with no music background and today was my first virtual alto sax lesson with Randall. I must admit that I was very intimidated at first and didn't think that I would be able to get the most out of this virtual learning experience. However, Randall made me very comfortable and quickly got me relaxed as if he were right there with me in my living room. We began by him showing me the do's and don'ts of putting my horn together (especially the mouthpiece), fingering, and creating the sound I wanted. I was impressed because he taught me about 5 to 6 notes in this initial session. To be honest I didn't even think that I would've been able to get a note out but I did. Although I didn't want my first saxophone lesson to be virtual, I can confidently say that I will continue my sessions with Randall and highly recommend his services.

I have been playing oboe for 14 years! I have studied under Linda Strommen during my undergraduate degree at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. I am fortunate to have been able to perform in various ensembles across the world, including winning a resident principal oboe of the Freiburger Studenten-Orchester for the 2014-2015 season. I am able to work on fundamental concepts such as technique and music theory, as well as develop a musical concept and improve the musical creativity. Together, we can improve your overall proficiency on your oboe, as well as prepare for any audition and ensemble you’re interested in! If interested, we can even arrange time to collaborate and just read through some duets together. Let’s begin this journey together!

About Taylor

I am a young professional musician who has been playing oboe for 15 years. My primary teachers were Dr. Elizabeth Robertson and Linda Strommen. During my years as a musician, I’ve gathered experience playing oboe 1/2 and English horn in orchestras, wind ensembles, woodwind quintets, and trios. Whi

I had already signed up for 5 classes, however, I already know I would definitely continue if I needed more instruction. Thanks so much for this service!"
