Jan is a fun and dynamic instructor whose patience and attention to the needs of her students has been instrumental in helping my daughter enjoy and thrive in her voice and piano lessons. While some instructors, in our experience, have been excellent musicians but poor teachers, Jan's style and flexibility make her an ideal person for passing on her knowledge to students, so that they in turn develop their own musical talents and shine. Many thanks, Jan, for your gifts!

I found Zach through 'take lessons' after my daughter had a few years with an intense classical pianist. I want my daughter to have fun and appreciate music and not feel the intense pressure she was feeling with our previous instructor. Zach was the perfect choice. My daughter loves her lessons. Zach does take time off for his professional endevors. Good for him. He has always let us know and connected with us when he returns.

I've been a guitar player for a while and have wanted to learn how to sing along with the guitar. Mark has done an excellent job determining where I currently am as a singer and how I can get to where I want to be as a singer. He has started with the basics and explaining to me how you can improve as a singer by making routine out of several exercises. He has done a great job not just explaining what the exercises are, but why they are beneficial to me as a vocalist. After gathering a better sense of my voice, I have started bringing my guitar to lessons and he has helped me immensely to blend my voice with my instrument. Since doing these lessons, I've had the confidence in my voice to start performing at open-mic nights in the Twin Cities and I thank Mark for that! He is wonderful!

Film acting is the most subtle of the genre's of performing. There are certain actors who really excel in film, but can't book a commercial to save their lives. And then there are incredible commercial actors that have a hard time booking theatrical work. It's important to know where your strengths are and also where you want to put your focus. Perhaps you want to do it all and most of the unknown but working actors in Chicago, NY, and LA do everything: film, television, commercial, industrial, voice over, and theatre. I can work with you to develop your skills in any area you would like to focus on.

About Holly
Holly has been a casting director for 15 years and a professional actor and acting teacher for almost 20 years.

She has auditioned thousands of actors over the past 15 years for commercials and feature films. The film she cast last year, Chasing Ghosts, is currently making it’s rounds on the film festival circuit. She also runs sessions for PR Casting in Chicago who casts for television series, commercials, and feature films.

She began teaching in grad school where she received her Master of Fine Arts degree in Acting and hasn’t stopped teaching since. She has taught at universities, colleges, independent acting schools, and private lessons over the span of 19 years. Teaching is her first love and she strives to create a supportive, encouraging environment for actors to let down their guard while also teaching them to take bigg
er risks and make more specific choices. She is also available for business & goal setting sessions for actors in addition to on-camera coaching.

I am so happy I decided to take lessons with Holly. She is not only incredibly accommodating when it comes to meeting up, but I've also learned so much from her! She both challenges and encourages me in the rehearsal space and helps me to think outside the box. Every time I have a coaching session with her, I feel so much more confident in the audition room. Holly has also aided me in choosing monologues that best represent me and the different types of roles that I audition for. She has provided me with wisdom and insight about the business in general, and I'm so thankful for her influence.

I have experience as a union actress, as a film director, producer and I have done over 10 casting sessions so I know an actor's strengths and weaknesses and how they should improve, prepare for a role, work on an actor's palate (voice and body), can teach audition techiniques, building a character, scene study, improvisation etc.

I teach a bit from all acting methodologies - Stanislavsky, Lee Strasberg, Meisner, Uta Hagen, Stella Adler, etc. My teaching style is more eclectic. I also emphasize Shakespeare and classical theatre training or plays. I train actors to use their imaginations and instincts. Essentially, I help actors play and have fun. A play is called a play because you "play"!

I am also a black martial artist and can teach actors combat and basic fight scenes for film. I produce my own action film series so I have experience with how an actor should prepare for a fight scene.

About Sangini
I have a Master's degree (Speech Communications and Drama) from Texas State University and a Bachelor's degree from University of Texas at Austin (History, Mathematics). I am a published children's book author and I write articles for magazines. I write movie scripts too.

I am a film producer, director, actress, writer, black belt martial artist. I have directed many actors in 10 films, had over 10 casting sessions with actors auditioning, performed with many actors in film and theatre and am a union actress.

Experienced actor of 10 years with over 25 shows and performances on an amateur and a majority of them on the professional level. With company's like Walt Disney World, Universal Studios and professional local theaters, I've experienced it all and know what each level of performance takes and what it's like. All ages welcome. Lessons are customized and catered to the needs/goals of each student. Wether it's getting ready for a school play, getting an acting piece ready for the Florida Thespian Festival (I've been a judge over 4 times at Junior State and regular Districts level), or just sharpening your acting skills wanting to be a better actor, I will help you build a solid foundation in mental preparation, auditioning, acting and networking. (Whatever the need may be) Let's get you going!

About Kyle
I am fortunate enough to currently be a real professional actor, singer and performer! Living the dream :) I take pride in knowing that I've reached the success I have without a degree. I've earned the roles given to me and have worked hard for them from the ground up. I am in my final semester at the University of Central Florida earning my Theatre Studies Degree along with my Film Degree. Right now I'm employed by Walt Disney World as an Equity actor for their Frozen Sing Along show at Hollywood Studios and recently, because it's seasonal work, just finished with A Frozen Holiday Wish on the Castle Stage at the Magic Kingdom.

As for film, I have gotten into it more the past 2 years and it has surprisingly been a huge success with 4 short films under my belt and 2 feature films, one of which I am a lead in. My acting style leans on a
more realistic side so I thought film would be another really cool opportunity to grow and experience new heights for me :)

I'm looking forward to showing my students what acting is and what we can do to really bring out the best performance they can give. I also look forward to meeting you and helping you become a better actor!
