About Eric
My name is Eric Matthew Brown I am a tutor with a four year college degree (B.A.) in math and philosophy and a sum total of thirteen years experience in professional tutoring. I love to tutor math and see students gain the knowledge necessary to succeed in their math courses and standardized tests. I put emphasis on theoretical comprehension and in tutoring I exhibit precision, clarity, and most of all patience. Frequent repetition and further explanation of theorems and definitions are necessary. I also have the ability to tutor logic, politics, and civics (American government).

Meagan is very flexible and is a great teacher. She doesn't make the student feel self-conscious about answering wrong, She gently asks the student to explain how they came up with the answer and allows them to correct themselves. If the student doesn't realize their error during the explanation, she explains to the student wherein the equation they made an error. She also repeats the problem areas with the student until they have a full understanding of the process.

I sought Meagan out after my daughter came home with a failing grade in Algebra I. I am very happy with my selection, she is the perfect fit for my daughter. She is very flexible and I appreciate that she doesn't make my daughter feel like her lack of understanding of the subject matter makes her inadequate. I am going to continue hiring Meagan for the duration of the school year, my daughter really likes her and is learning far more than she is from her regular classroom environment.

I've helped students who were below grade level achieve their grade level in Math Literacy. I identify the needs of learners and adapt course content and delivery style to meet the students needs. I prefer to use Expeditionary Learning which involves "learning by doing" and participating in a hands-on experience. Communicate with parent, teachers regarding students' progress.

About peggi
I have been tutoring elementary school students in reading comprehension & math for over 4 years one on one. I've helped students improve grades from failing to B's. I identify the needs of learners and adapt course content and delivery style to meet the students needs. Review materials assigned by the students' teachers and helped students complete homework. Communicated with parents, teachers regarding students' progress.

I like to use hands on learning. By 'doing' helps them to gain a better understanding of the material.

Learning can be fun! Don't let your child fall behind in learning.

I have a MBA in International Business which I used ever since graduation. Math is the core of a wealthy life whether that means financial stability, business success, happiness, or sustainability. Knowing how to manipulate and resolve unknown factors by using numbers allow one make easy and objective decisions, become efficient and effective, and have fun in any given situation.

About Isabela
I'm an enthusiastic learner even after 19 years of formal education (two Masters, one Bachelor) earned on two continents continued by US military education in various forms, and formally tested student who needed to document skills that were not formally captured on paper (like the foreign languages I know).

I love interacting with people and pass on my knowledge from five visited continents, instill love for learning and continuous curiosity for any subject out there. Nothing is impossible when you set your mind to it. Failing once doesn't mean that you'll never win (proof in my athletic years and life ever since); determination, hard work, self-motivation and a good supporting system can bring to reality even the most insignificant dreams that we believe may not come true, and especially those in which we passionately trust.

I be
lieve in breaking down a goal into objectives, assigning tasks to each one of them, and then sticking to achieve them.

I'm a Certified Instructor with the Department of Homeland Security. My hobbies include practicing foreign languages by speaking them, learning about cultures and slangs, etymology, watching foreign movies, traveling internationally, taking photos, reading (a lot), carefully planning with room for error and impulsive decisions (to take the boredom out of things), meeting with life long friends, drawing, painting, and spending time outdoors for inspiration.

I'm elated at the opportunity of brainstorming with you and giving you tools to be an independent learner.

Grazie mille, Isabella, for another great lesson. Her deep knowledge of Italian, patience, and teaching style is clearly helping me with pronunciation and common phrases, and is pushing my Italian skills to the next level.

I love math. Not very often do students encounter a teacher whose ability is proficient nor a teacher who has a passion for the real, deep, multi-layered understandings in math. I am a massive dork and can explain step by step even the most troubling mathematic principles. My family is 50% teachers and girlfriend is as well, so I'm more than capable to assist in any way a teacher would. :)

About Clayton
Im in the military, Air National Guard as an enlisted Airman. I live in Baltimore MD and I have a cute, bunnyhopping kitty named Ellie. Im smart as heck and will soon be working on Jet Engines, so you best bet I dont make errors. Im also ridiculously nice. :) I cook better than Gordon Ramsay, but don't tell him I said that, and Im also "Hilarious to a fault" according to my girlfriend, lol.
