Teresa is a very knowledgeable and talented teacher! I have learned so many new techniques with sewing and clothing design thanks to her! She is very patient, kind, and dedicated to making sure her students acquire the skills they need to be successful. Unbeknownst to me, auditioning is actually a completely different skill than acting. They are related but are in no way the same. You can actually be an incredible actor who is a terrible auditioner. This is where Joe comes in--he's spent countless hours (probably close to Malcolm Gladwell's 10,000) learning the skills it takes to give not just a good, but a great and memorable audition. He can take an audition side that I'm working on and give me a completely unique take on it after seeing the script for a mere 2 minutes. "My son is very difficult to work with. He had never seen any reason to memorize a monologue word for word. Jason had a very difficult job ahead of him, getting my son ready for his auditions for college. Through working with Jason,my son realized the value of memorization, and practicing his monologue enough times to get it down. He is attending AMDA now, and he could have picked from three colleges that he auditioned for.
