Learning what, why, and how we input Method into our acting.
Ali has had music in her life since she was in the crib. She has performed professionally in the musical theatre world and she has studied in several universities for Musical Theater, Jazz, Pop, Blues, and R&B. Since the age of sixteen, she has been selected to sing as a guest soloist for venues such as Spivey Hall, Georgia World Congress Center, and Georgia Tech Hotel Conference Center. Ali has also sung for many movies and recordings, and recently recorded a demo for David Foster, Barbra Streisand, and Andrea Bocelli and recently toured as a pianist for "The Women of Ireland." She is a recent graduate of Berklee College of Music and earned her BM in Music Business and Vocal Performance cum laude studying under Magi Scott, Jeff Ramsey, Jerome Kyles, and Carolyn Escoffrey, Donna McElroy, Livingston Taylor, Joan Lader, and Charlie Sorrent
Ali is also known for playing piano. She received her minor in Piano Performance within a year at Shorter College under Helen Ramsaur. She has been playing since she was five years old and has accompanied many people and musical productions.
Some of Ali's major influences include:
Linda Eder, Aretha Franklin, Jennifer Hudson, Lena Horne, Judy Garland, Whitney Houston, Billie Holliday, and Lara Fabian, Barbra Streisand
*** Lesson Details *** Ali loves to share her passion of music to the world and especially through her students. She loves to share new ideas and nuances along with the basics and fundamentals of technique. Although practice can be boring for the student, asking a student to pick at least one song to work on can help the student and the teacher have fun and learn at the same time. After a few months, not only will her students have fun, but they will learn how to be a better person and musician.
*** Studio Equipment *** Home Studio: Baby Grand Piano, Living room, Stands, metronome
*** Travel Equipment *** Just the music I assign and their appropriate instrument
*** Specialties *** For Acting: Meisner Piano: Just beginners- intermediate Voice: Anything you can think of and I'll do it
The mission of my studio is to create well-rounded, educated musicians who will always have a lifelong passion for the art no matter their long-term goals. I strive for my students to be:
(1) Lifelong learners who develop successful learning habits. (2) Creative and critical thinkers who will become effective communicators. (3) Responsible and respectful members of society who respect other cultures. (4) Able to set short-term and long-term goals and be able to see them through to their success.
It is of the utmost importance that my students are well-educated in their chosen instrument; they must know and understand music and music-making. Students who can play are a dime a dozen, but students who understand the music they are playing are often hard to find. I teach students to kno
w music thoroughly, not just to “play.” I desire my students to comprehend elements of the score, to use their bodies effectively to make good sound, and to interpret music creatively and according to historical performance practices across all genres of music. Thus, I give students a purposeful education in technique, quality literature, performance and artistry, music theory, and music history.
Although students differ in ability and development, I maintain high expectations for our students. I expect attention and respect in lessons, faithful and diligent practice, careful adherence to instructions, and an “I’ll-do-my-best” attitude. If students regularly meet these expectations, then they will excel to the level that they are able. It is my joy to help students master their music, to do the best they can, and to strive for and achieve excellence.
Lastly, I want students to enjoy and appreciate their instrument, music, and music-making; and I know as as a teacher, I am very influential in making this happen. Students develop enjoyment of music by understanding music, experiencing success in music, being exposed to good and varied genres of music, and receiving instruction from a teacher who is enthusiastic and encouraging. It is my goal to provide all of these opportunities for students, and as a result their lives will be enriched as they enjoy their instrument.
My daughter takes guitar from Maria and I didn’t realize how much she’s progressed until we went to a friend’s recital. 8 months with Maria and my child is leaps and bounds ahead of kids who’ve been taking for 2-3 years. It’s really motivating for her to see. Maria has standards which are non-negotiable but she’s patient and truly guides the kids to success. I’m so happy with our choice as her as a teacher.

Maria has been wonderful with our son. Very motivating and goal based. The recitals blow me away year after year. The progress these kids make with her plus the longevity of her students says a lot.
I have been a performing artist since the age of 9. Over the years, I have worked under dozens of production companies for film and stage. As world-renowned author, Malcolm Gladwell, states in his book "Outliers," it takes 10,000 hours of experience to be considered an expert in any field. After hitting that mark around Christmas 2012, I began to write a curriculum and had my first student a few weeks later.
We will study personal development, (how to prepare your “slate” for each new story), practice character and script analysis, (breaking down each new story to its fundamental core), invest in an understanding for set/stage/studio performances and the histories behind them, in addition to building a skill set in monetizing your growth in the entertainment industry. Lesson basics will include improv, cold reading, monologues and more.
I pull from a wide array of past learning experiences, (from the academy to the set/stage/studio, to my ...

My 11 year old son is already a working actor, but we needed someone to iron out the "rough spots" and give him some extra coaching. Since we don't live near LA, we first started working with Tyler because he was local. He is fantastic! My son just loves him, and they connect really well. When he had an audition for a lead part in a movie, Tyler took the time outside of our normal schedule for some one on one time at the last minute. He is always friendly, professional, and always flexible with our schedule. My son did not get that part, but he auditioned for a tv pilot a few weeks later. He didn't get the part he auditioned for, but he made such an impression on the director, they actually created a special rolel for just for him. We owe some of this to Tyler, he really knows how to bring out the best in your kid. Also, his fees are reasonable. You won't be disappointed!
I studied at the Moscow Art Theater school, the birthplace of Stanislavki's System. I specialize in audition technique, cold reading technique, Shakespeare performance, scene study, voice, speech, physical acting, and character creation. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels! I can't wait to meet you!

Alex is amazing! She is funny, knowledgable, and she meets you where you're at! I'm definitely a beginner at make-up and she had excellent advice for products and processes. She was always willing to show me things again or follow my lead with where I wanted to the lessons to go! Highly Recommend.

Hi! My name is Ashli and I have been a professional actress for over 20 years. I have several professional (TV/Film) credits and I have been in over 20 stage plays. In addition to my professional career, I have been studying acting for over 15 years and hold a bachelors degree in theatre acting from The California Institute of the Arts.
I began coaching and directing actors about 10 years ago. I can teach any age (5+) and any experience level, though, having been a child actor myself, I connect especially well with kid and teen actors. My teaching methods are rooted in several different techniques (method, Uta Hagen, Stanislavsky) but overall, my approach is one that immerses the actor in their work fully. Our sessions will engage your mind, body, and spirit with the hopes that you will become a well rounded and captivating artist and

I am a professional actor, writer, director and acting coach. I graduated from North Carolina Central University with a Bachelors of Art, specifically in Theatre. I am also a graduate of Savannah College of Arts & Design with a Masters of Fine Arts, with a focus on performing arts.
Acting students can expect improve with each class they attend. I teach students to be free and expressive while being on stage. Being free and uninhibited allows the students to not be self conscious and able to fully absorb the acting process. I can help any student to perform with freedom, confidence, and expression.
As a professional actor I get the opportunity to travel throughout the US with my original plays and workshops. I've had the chance to perform in many different venues, from festivals to black box theaters. With getting the chance to be apart
of workshops I get to be trained by other professional actors also. Yep, there is always work to be done
While my ultimate passion is acting, I am a huge advocate of supporting the arts in all capacities. As a performer by nature it is my belief that training is essential to every artist's process. I look forward to sharing my love and passion for acting with you! Let's change the world through the ARTS!!!!
Hello! I'm Dominic R. (though I'm commonly known as "that guy" to very close friends) and I'm an artist. I'm an actor, teacher, singer, comedian, writer, graphic designer, and a really, horribly novice ukulele player.
I. LOVE. ACTING. And I love sharing my passion for that with other people, actors and non-actors alike.
In my acting coachings, I utilize many different exercises to make sure that each student has the knowledge and techniques required for them to feel completely, fearlessly themself. Every artist approaches their craft differently, but in acting, honesty is everything. Together, we'll discover what that means for you and how to make you shine your brightest light on stage or on camera.

Hello! I'm Dominic R. (though I'm commonly known as "that guy" to very close friends) and I'm an artist. I'm an actor, teacher, singer, comedian, writer, graphic designer, and a really, horribly novice ukulele player. People ask how long I have been an actor for and generally don't believe me when I tell them I've been acting almost my whole life! Since my days as an Oscar Meyer Weiner kid, it's just been in my blood.
I. LOVE. ACTING. And I love sharing my passion for that with other people, actors and non-actors alike. I have ten years of professional acting experience in Chicagoland and New York, I'm an instructor at the Actors Training Center in Wilmette, and I am the Founding Artistic Director of Lantern Theatre: A Marist Performing Arts Group. I'm a 2013 graduate of Columbia College Chicago (BA: Acting) and 2011 graduate of The Se

When I teach, each class is structured based off the student's individual wants and goals, but all of my acting coaching relationships start with a chat! What are your goals with acting lessons? What are your career goals? What sort of experience, or lack-thereof, do you have in the field? Do you have any dream roles from movies, TV, musicals, plays, etc.? Who are your favorite actors?
I believe that it's important for an acting coach to get a sense of their student's mannerisms, sense of humor, and general personality. Chatting about the items above give me a sense of who you are as a person, as well!
The beautiful thing about actors is that they HAVE TO come in all shapes, colors, ages, and sizes!! I have coached six year olds, I have coached 80 year olds, I have coached Shakespearean sonnets, and I have coached improvised comedy sketch material. No matter the background of the actor, the techniques stay the same!
"Tyler's coach was a top student of Master Stella Adler, who was the only American Acting Master to train directly under Constantin Stanislavsky. Stanislav
sky was the creator of The Method [Acting] and is KING of modern acting. Craft knowledge base does not get more grounded and serious than where Tyler's coming from. I am very happy to have found him. I just to his area from LA and we have been working together ever since. Fantastic teacher!!"
"Great instructor and great listener. Jeremy will be a supporting and friendly coach while helping you to achieve your goals as an actor."

"Nicolas is one of the best mentor I have ever came across. He is passionate about teaching and able to help you draw out the inner you. I was someone who
had a great deal of struggle connecting with my emotions and being able to express it in a sensible way. Within few weeks he taught me how to tap into my feelings and express it outwards. Needless to say he is an impressive teacher and if you have the chance, visit him. It will be beneficial for your personal life and career."
"Kathryn was everything I was looking for. Knowledgable, funny, supportive and down to earth. I feel like I’m on the correct path to start getting more a
