Adam is really super (I am only on my third lesson). He will make you feel comfortable and interact with you in a personable and dynamic way.

He is the perfect teacher if you want to improve your stage voice and pitch. Adam is the man if you have fame on your mind. Julia

If you are a little slow on the uptake, (like I am when I don't know the subject matter) you need to be brave and follow his directions in practicing techniques. Adam personalizes his lessons, but they could be more planned. They feel a little too unprepared.

About Maria
MISSION STATEMENT:

The mission of my studio is to create well-rounded, educated musicians who will always have a lifelong passion for the art no matter their long-term goals. I strive for my students to be:

(1) Lifelong learners who develop successful learning habits.
(2) Creative and critical thinkers who will become effective communicators.
(3) Responsible and respectful members of society who respect other cultures.
(4) Able to set short-term and long-term goals and be able to see them through to their success.

TEACHING PHILOSOPHY:

It is of the utmost importance that my students are well-educated in their chosen instrument; they must know and understand music and music-making. Students who can play are a dime a dozen, but students who understand the music they are playing are often hard to find. I teach students to kno
w music thoroughly, not just to “play.” I desire my students to comprehend elements of the score, to use their bodies effectively to make good sound, and to interpret music creatively and according to historical performance practices across all genres of music. Thus, I give students a purposeful education in technique, quality literature, performance and artistry, music theory, and music history.

Although students differ in ability and development, I maintain high expectations for our students. I expect attention and respect in lessons, faithful and diligent practice, careful adherence to instructions, and an “I’ll-do-my-best” attitude. If students regularly meet these expectations, then they will excel to the level that they are able. It is my joy to help students master their music, to do the best they can, and to strive for and achieve excellence.

Lastly, I want students to enjoy and appreciate their instrument, music, and music-making; and I know as as a teacher, I am very influential in making this happen. Students develop enjoyment of music by understanding music, experiencing success in music, being exposed to good and varied genres of music, and receiving instruction from a teacher who is enthusiastic and encouraging. It is my goal to provide all of these opportunities for students, and as a result their lives will be enriched as they enjoy their instrument.

Denise is my favorite teacher of all time. Before studying with her I was super nervous in front of the camera and crowds. She has helped me completely get over that, and even better, I now love being in the spotlight! I'm no longer getting stuck in my head when I'm speaking to the camera, or in front of a crowd. I'm even getting compliments on how strong my voice sounds. What I love most about having Denise as a teacher is that she truly cares, and does more than improve skills. Having a background in film, I can give you the personal attention, acting techniques, and career guidance you need to reach your full potential as an actor.

About Michael
One-to-One Acting & Voice Lessons with a Concierge Approach.

With a background of over 12 years in classical vocal and acting practice, coupled with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Belmont University, I am uniquely positioned to train students of all ages, backgrounds, and genres.

Unlike most studios, my approach focuses on the true artist development—through a consultative, one-to-one methodology. Because I understand that each artist has a different set of goals and desires—each lesson is tailor-made to fit the needs of that student.

By developing closely-knit relationships with each of my students, I am able to execute bespoke plans that focus specifically on your needs and goals rather than a typical, "one size fits all" program

In 2015, I graduated from Belmont University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical The
atre.

In May of 2015, I signed on to the Daniel Hoff Agency in New York City. Shortly after, I began working for Disney Cruise Lines as a MainStage performer until this past September (2016).

My passion for the arts goes well beyond the stage & I'm actively pursuing a film career here in Atlanta, GA. I have taught voice & acting since 2013 - including many workshops & masterclasses in Houston, Nashville, & New York

It is my belief that finding & developing your inner artist, follows sincere passion for your craft. It is this very passion for which I'm driven to develop my students' voice & acting abilities as they continue to grow.

Honestly the BEST!! I was able to purchase 10 lessons with Michael as a birthday present. I love broadway singing and am self-taught. I had basically reached the end of what I could do myself, and these lessons were incredibly helpful. I had a major breakthrough and have never been happier with my voice. He is incredibly organized, professional, and friendly. It can be nerve racking singing in front of someone, but he makes you feel comfortable and enables you to have fun and look forward to your lessons. 30 years of experience in theatre, television, commercials, voice overs and Indie films. I started coaching other actors in 2014, focusing on techniques for on-camera acting and film audition coaching. I have the inside scoop on how the professional acting world works and I help prepare all students for the challenges that come with the biz. One pager perk is that I am also a Casting Director for commercial, television and film projects in the Midwest. I'm always talent scouting.

About Jonna
When I moved back to Springfield, MO from LA a few years ago (Because the schools are better and my family is here), I immediately noticed a desperate need for film acting education. We have good theatre programs in town, but most of the actors weren't quite aware of how to transition that for the screen. I've been blessed to have a lot of practice and education for on-camer acting, so I decided to share what I know.

It's been a cool adventure learning how to teach, especially since I'm still a working actor. I get to take my own advice and see if works. I have primarily adult students in my weekly classes as well as private lesson students, and they have been brave enough to try many new things. We explore all of the popular techniques to find what works for us. Acting is a very special craft for strong people.

I tell all of my stude
nts, "You have to be STRONG if you want to tell the stories of the human condition." My first piece of advice to help you become a great film actor is: DON'T SHOW ME HOW YOU FEEL. JUST FEEL IT.

I love people and I'd love to work with you.
