I am an AFPA certified personal trainer and hula hoop expert. In addition to working as a personal trainer at LaFitness, I have taught Hooping for Fitness and Performance at a local community center. Mya is AWESOME! My 10 year old daughter is loving the lessons she has been taking it for a month now and has learned so much. I have purchased her own machine so now she is being taught with her own machine. I have signed up for more lessons, definitely worth the money.
Delma
Mya is an awesome instructor! She helped my mom sew a quilt for her great-granddaughter and then wanted to sew another for her new great-grandson but was overwhelmed and unsure how to get started. Mya was nice enough to come over and guide her through the completion. Mya is intuitive and understands right away how to explain the different quilting techniques and sewing machine use. This has brought my mother immense pleasure especially since her limited mobility and pandemic have limited her activities greatly. I will be forever grateful.
Ruth
She was very patient, professional, and knew what she was doing.

Will teach hand-building techniques from simple coil, slab and pinch methods to human bust sculpture. I do not currently have a potters wheel to teach throwing on a wheel, so only the aforementioned hand-building techniques would be taught.

Elizabeth has been great. She teaches my daughter and has made her feel comfortable. Her lessons are always simple to follow but not so easy as to make it boring. I highly recommend her classes.
Tracy
Elizabeth is extremely patient and thorough. She made sure I understood each stitch she taught me. I came to the first class frustrated by trying to be self-taught. By the end of class I was excited about my project again. I look forward to finishing the blanket I’m working on so she can teach me to do another.
Molly
Elizabeth is patient and extremely helpful! She is very skilled and teaches in a way that is easy to understand.

I started sewing at age 8 (thanks mom!)

I have a degree in technical theatre with an emphasis in costume design and technology. I design costumes for community theatres, opera companies and drag queens.

I helped teach sewing and costuming during my degrees. I believe in starting beginners with familiarizing themselves with their machines and how to read patterns.

I would love to share my years of experience designing, sewing and crafting with you!

"My son USCF rating 1400+ took a trial lesson with Danial. Danial is methodical and systematic in his coaching. He was quick to identify what my son needs to improve in order to get to the next level. The most important thing is that my son enjoyed his one-hour lesson and literally felt that the lesson time flew by as it felt like only 2 minutes long to him.
