About Joseph
I have been playing music for over 20 years. I have been a successful part of Rock Bands, Jazz Bands, Blues Bands, Marching Bands, etc. So, whatever style of music you are interested in or wanting to learn, I can help!

I am also a Certified Personal Trainer with a Fitness Nutrition Specialist Certification. I have been Personal Training for over 2 years. I personally have struggled with weight for most of my life. Through that struggle I have developed a true passion for nutrition, fitness, health, and weight loss. I am eager to spread my knowledge and experience to others and help yo
u reach any goals you may have!

On top of that, I have spent the past 6+ years honing my skills for Training, Coaching, and Developing. So, I can promise two things. You will get results and you will have FUN!

I will design your training around you and your goals......not mine!

*** Lesson Details ***
Ultimately, my goal is to make sure you enjoy yourself and want to keep coming back. In that process I will make sure you get results.

I am laid back and very patient. Two qualities I feel are necessary to be successful in this field.

I design my curriculum for each individual. This is because everyone has their own goals, there own level of ability, and their own needs as far as how to get there.

Locations:
1) Rehearsal Studio is my rehearsal studio. I have a full drumset, PA, guitars, and amps available at this location.
2) Apartment is my apartment in Hawthorne. Students are welcome to come here but we have limited options for instrumentation here. Practice Pads, hand drums, and acoustic guitars are the only options at this location.

*** Studio Equipment ***
5 piece Yamaha Drumset with Zildjian Cymbals. PA system. Amps, Guitars, and Keyboards.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I have acoustic guitars, a practice pad, and a djembe. I expect my students to have their own drumsticks and, ideally, their own guitar and practice pad or drumset.

*** Specialties ***
I specialize in rock/contemporary & marching band style percussion/drums. I also specialize in folk style guitar and bass.

About Rosita
I have been singing and studying voice for over 23 years since I was a child! I hold a Bachelors from Musicians Institute and other accomplished degrees from American Musical Dramatic Academy to conclude my quest for vocal excellence and the ability to sing in multiple languages ( English, Spanish, Japanese and Italian) I have been lucky enough to study with some of the top teachers in the country and now I bring the experience I have gained directly to you!
I am proud to share my student's vast array of musical successes. From being cast on short anime films and musicals to being accepted in
to prestigious performing arts academies to conquering the Karaoke scene. My passion for multiple languages and love of music is the desire driving me to share the gifts for teaching young children to open the door to their own musical abilities and hidden artistic desires. I am currently writing a musical which will be debuting in 2020. I'm currently the vocal coach and choir director at Iglesia Elim Central.

I will make sure my students have fun and help them get in the right track to their musical goals.

Also, I constantly upload videos on Singing, The Spanish Language, and Japanese! So keep Checking in! It ranges on tips and answering the most common questions on those particular subjects!

*** Lesson Details ***
I do my absolute best to create a positive atmosphere for my students. Even when the students feel frustrated or stressed, it is important to inspire them and give them the fuel that they need. Though I am strict when it comes to homework and their about their studies. Every lesson at the beginning I will review what we learned previously and test them.
then begin with proper breathing technique exercises, the cornerstone of all vocals. We move on to vocal exercises to condition the voice. Then we work on the songs that you are eager to sing!

I will use a piano when doing vocal warm ups and conditioning exercises. Students that play other instruments and accompany themselves when performing (such as a guitar) are encouraged to bring that instrument to their lessons. My goal is for them to gain the knowledge that they need to help reach their artistic goals.
With all my lessons every student will be taught a basic run down of Music Theory. My students will always progress in what they do. They will have the discipline that they need and yet have fun and be filled with inspiration. Which is the most important thing, to be Inspired to do better.

*** Studio Equipment ***
iMac, condensing mic...performing mic, keyboard, mixer...living room of apartment.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I do have a portable keyboard. Though I do expect the student to have their own recording device and karaoke tracks. At Home I do have a studio, and if the students has an iPod or an Mp3 player I can attach it to a device where all of us can hear the tracks. I do have a recording studio as well.

*** Specialties ***
I specialize in Musical Theatre, and Pop rock genres. When I teach my students I always have them learn a song of another language whether it's Spanish or Japanese. It helps with diction when they learn a song outside the English Language. Also It helps them to learn another Language at the same time. Also I give them a little anatomy class when they are learning how to sing. I give them a model of the vocal Chords and different areas of the Larynx and which part works for the chest voice and the head voice.

About Jonathan
I have a background in sports, fitness, health and movement as well as a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry. I am very passionate about health through harmonizing the body, mind, and spirit with proper nutrition, exercise, breathing and insight. I have traveled to 15 different countries on over 4 continents to study culture and various traditions of wellness, movement and medicine. I have been teaching parkour for 3 years to various age groups in different environments throughout the US and once to kids in Myanmar who couldn't even speak English. I am deeply passionate about spreading knowledge an
d looking at the world from a different perspective.

Since then, I began teaching wellness through mediation, juicing, natural supplements, stress relieving activities and breathing exercises. I believe in a better world; one with less competition and more cooperation as one human race. In this sense, tutoring is my way of helping so we can all grow as individuals connected to a whole.

Flip Your World Upside Down: Benefits of Inversion Yoga

Curious about inversion yoga? Learn how to do some of the essential poses in this guest post by San Diego teacher Tiffany V...   We are so used to viewing life from a “right-side-up” perspective, where we soak in the world around us by way of our sensory organs (eyes, ears, nose, and mouth). We process everything upstairs, allowing it all to accumulate to form our point of view, which in turn fuels our decisions, reactions, and movements down to our toes. Rather than taking the ti … Read More
