In my opinion, Pre-Algebra is the single most important element in math. In pre-algebra, we are introduced to a host of brand new topics and concepts that seem to be antithetical to that of the arithmetic we had grown to love and understand over our previous 5 years in elementary school. With my pre-Algebra lessons, you will learn to regard elementary math/arithmetic and pre-algebra as a single unit. Using this strategy, I have helped many middle-school students overcome the major roadblocks in pre-algebra, which are huge due to the introduction of variables, equations and nebulous word problems. My name is Mena. I have a strong background in math with a degree in Actuarial science and have been tutoring the SAT, ACT, Algebra 1&2, and Geometry for over four years. I have extensive knowledge of the testing strategies needed to make the exam fun and easy. I work with students to find areas that need strengthening then work patiently with them to hone their skills.
