About L'Marco
I am not just a teacher, having the experience of successfully launching a solo career in the pop markets and working with some of the best in the industry! Thus, not only do I give instruction on basic and intermediate singing technique(s), I also focuses heavily on the performance aspect of music.

"There is nothing greater to witness on stage, than a singer who both has the talent and the ability to captivate their audience's full attention." - L. S.

I studied for 5 years at the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at CSU, Long Beach. I studied everything from Classical to Jazz, so I'm knowledgeable on how to yield results in various genres. My musical education, however, dates far before my collegiate career, offering assurance to my students that they will, indeed, get the most from their lessons: the Ability, the Finesse (sharpenin
g of their natural talent), and the Confidence (which is one of the most vital elements of performance).

I have a very unique teaching style most would say. I'm very real, honest, upfront, and approachable. My feedback is constructive and insightful. I focus on technical singing, initially, to really establish a solid foundation for musicality and health longevity, then as progression is made, I put emphasis on performance methods. Throughout my lessons, confidence building is my main focus! Most of my students can attest that if the work is put in, the best results are put out! I teach many genres: Classical, Pop/R&B, Rock, Country, and Musical Theatre!

L'Marco is providing my 8 year old son more than what I thought. He's teaching the things that go along with singing and the words and definition as well as having exams so he will really know what they mean. Diction, posture, diaghragm, larynax, glissando (?). He's teaching him pitch, performance and stage presence. Because of L'Marco and his wonderful teachings my son has song the lead to a song in church which he was very afraid before. Now he has many request to lead solos and perform at 2 separate banquets this year (2014). Several of my friends want to utilize L;Marco for their children... NO NO he's all mine. lol

L'Marco shares his soul/power through teaching!

I've been studying under L'Marco Smith for almost a year and can say not only has my singing ability improved but my confidence in myself and my voice as well. Not only does he focus on technique but is passionate about instilling the idea that music is all about the intention and message you want to leave your audience. I tend to put stress and pressure on myself being such a serious artist constantly looking for perfection but L'Marco has been there time after time reminding me with his enthusiasm, humor and supportive outlook to enjoy the journey. He has taught me to make bold mistakes, know you have been given a gift to share, and take responsibility don't be ashamed of your voice. I've never met such a teacher who would kill to see you succeed the way he does. I know working with him, I am becoming the confident/power/successful/artist I've always dreamed I could be.

About Ross
Ross has been teaching for five years in both a school environment - in which he helped develop a performing arts department from the ground up - as well as private lessons, where his students succeeded musically and theatrically, having performed on Broadway, Off-Broadway, with the Rockettes, and on international tours. His teaching philosophy is simple. Everyone can sing, most simply don't know how.

As a performer himself, Ross is a singer, actor, and photographer who graduated from the prestigious New York University with a Dual-Degree Master's of Music in Vocal Performance and Vocal Pedagogy. He has performed across the country regionally and on tour, in such iconic roles as "Marius" in Les Miserables, "Jack" and "The Baker" in Into the Woods, "Roger" in A New Brain, and "Anthony" in Sweeney Todd.

About Alexander
My current teaching focus is helping to enable young people to develop confidence, self-direction and self-reliance in their life's work by unleashing their creativity in various subjects while offering them new skills and techniques.

I have been enthusiastically teaching for over twenty-five years, generally in the fields of fine art and web development. Previously, I founded an alternative K-12 school in New Jersey, co-founded a Brooklyn based summer camp, and most recently, co-founded play:groundNYC, a junkyard playground for children on Governors Island in New York City, where children are self-directed in their play with an array of junk materials for uninhibited play and discovery.

I am a certified New York State art teacher, have taught K-12, college, graduate, and continuing education. I have a Masters in Fine Art from Pars
ons School of Design, The New School University and a Bachelors of Arts from Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University.

Alex is kind and patient. He is always well prepared, explains things clearly and makes an effort to come up with new activities. We're glad we found a teacher so close to home and we feel lucky. My daughter looks forward to every class. Sometimes Alex's sons join the lesson. They are lovely - my daughter really enjoys their company and I'm glad that she has both individual instruction as well as the chance to work with his kids.

About Tim
I'm a professional musician, photographer, and photography teacher. I graduated from Hofstra University with a major in Public Relations and a minor in photography.

I learned to teach photography working as an aide in the university darkrooms - running small group classes, and providing a critical eye on larger projects.

My musical teaching expertise stems from 18 years of cello performance, preferring to work with new students, and intermediate students looking for artistic direction. When working with others, I prefer to have students have projects of their own aspirations, in order to help drive their passion for what they're doing.

For photography lessons, expect to go to different locations each day, to capture a wide variety of lighting situations and interesting landscapes in Northern Jersey - remember your hiking boots!

About Jessica
I am a visual artist who has been exhibiting my artwork across the US since 2009 and teaching since 2006. I got my BA from Vassar College, and a Masters in Education through the NYC Teaching Fellows program. I am deeply passionate about drawing and love to share this passion with others. I believe that art isn't for the talented few but for the passionate many and what counts most of all is that you're having fun!

My drawings tend to celebrate the beautiful and surprising in the mundane. I have worked in a variety of media but my preferred material is good old-fashioned pencil on paper. I have had solo and group exhibitions, my work has been published in print and online, one of my drawings is on the cover of a philosophy book, I have exhibited at several art fairs, and I have won many fellowships, grants, and artist residencies.

Our drawing lessons will begin with learning to use the most basic materials: charcoal, erasers, pencil and paper. We will spend a lot of time learning the art of looking because above all, drawing is about observation and translating what you see.
You will begin to notice improvements in your skills after the first class!

I look forward to drawing with you.

I have always loved to draw as a hobby, but could never get the hang of it. I found Jessica on Craigslist and she taught me how to hold a pencil properly to create the depth to my drawings I've always dreamed about! I highly recommend Jessica and can't wait till my next lesson with her! Thanks again!

Jessica is worldclass, and without parallell! When my 2nd Grade Sons teacher reccomended I enroll him in supplememtal art classes it took a few tries before we found a good fit, and 5 minutes in Jessica fit like an old shoe. Shes absolutely brilliant at keeping him motivated and focused and entertained, and I am so proud of how much progress he's made in such a short period of time. If I could give her 25 stars I would because 5 just doesn't do her justice.

I've been Jessica's art student for more than a year and I'm still fascinated how much I have learned so far. I already make beautiful, colorful drawings on my own, some of which I could even sell! I love her energy and mastery of teaching and doing art, but most of all her passion. I love the experience and I'm planning to keep on growing as artist myself with Jessica's guidance.

About Erica
Hi All!

My name is Erica Jensen. I've studied the Visual Arts from third grade to college- about 14 years of experience-. I have been asked quite frequently to teach and share my knowledge with the masses; through either youtube or for personal classes, and I only recently have taken that advice and decided to share what I know. Only up until recently, did I think that what I had to offer wasn't anything anyone else couldn't get from somone else; UNTIL- I decided to help out a very close friend of mine with a college project and what she told me really struck home. She said, " You made me feel like I can do anything, no matter the end product. Even though you encouraged me to keep practicing to ensure my result would progress; what I took away from you helping me, moreso than anything, was the ability to make me feel like nothing matt
ers besides how I FEEL. Which created a farr better product than I ever thought it would be.."

That just reassured me that my philosphy on Drawing and Painting may be similar to others but still is MY OWN. And I should've thought of it that way from the beginning because, I believe whole heartedly that everyone's expression is unique no matter what! What's yours is yours, and what's mine is mine. And I would encourage you to OWN IT at every moment because that's the truth behind ALL ARTIST- We decided to OWN IT and let our expressions blossom to unimaginable heights.

About Mark Onewolf
I began photographing family events at the age of 8 years old. I was always fascinated with how things work and the camera was no exception.
I learned to shoot with Film cameras. First with my Dad's Pentax and when I was employed I purchased my own. During my time in the Navy and Army I became good friends with a combat photographer who mentored me in photography. Long deployments were perfect to cultivate my skills and there was no shortage of people places and things to photograph.
So what makes me a good Instructor? My education background is Avionics and Electronics Engineering. I am a math and logic minded person which enables me to reverse engineer processes and break them down. I have experience teaching ESL to foreign exchange students which often requires me to understand the task from the perspective of the client so tha
t I am able to help them understand in the way they learn.
I come from a Artistic family, Music, Art, Dance, Singing etc and being a musician myself I am not just a 1's and 0 person. Photography is a very logical subject not unlike music. There are rules to bent and offers structure yet has a creative release for those of us seeking that.
My clients find that I am patient and laid back and able to explain things in multiple ways until they get that ah ha moment. I am passionate about photography and i hope my enthusiasm is contagious.
As a Professional photographer I see so many bad photos from family and friends and others posting on social media and in forums. Someone took the time to show me and feed my passion so I want to do the same and help to create better photographers.
