Tony is a skilled maestro that taught me something new with every lesson. He opened my musical perspective by showing me the fundamentals of what it means to be musically inclined and gave me the tools to further my education on my own.

This was the first lesson for my son. He was actually surprised and thought that it was a great first lesson. He said that Daniel reviewed the concepts with him which allowed him to solve the problems. He is motivated and is looking forward to his next lesson.

I am a potter who specializes in functional tableware. I teach in my studio and also at local art centers. I teach throwing on the potter's wheel and hand-building. My work has been exhibited in national juried shows.

I also am a textile artisan. My love is doll-making, in the Waldorf style. I teach knitting (Continental style), crochet, and sewing.

My other love is gardening. I grow tree and herbaceous peonies. My cottage style garden is planted for fragrance and naturalness. I emphasize growing perennials because their beauty increases each year.

I have had nothing but the best experience working with Marlisa. She is patient, she takes the time to verify that you've grasped a concept you're struggling with and works to find the best way to communicate with YOU. I don't think anyone would regret spending an hour or two learning and chatting with Marlisa. I feel so inspired and more confident each time I leave a session. If you're on the fence about trying this; don't hesitate!

Marlisa is a very kind, patient and knowledgeable teacher. I took my granddaughter to her for a pottery lesson and she was very happy with Marlisa's teaching, resulting in her being able to throw a bowl on the wheel that she can actually use. I would highly recommend Marlisa as a teacher for students of all ages!

Marlisa is an awesome teacher. I took a pottery class at Glen Echo years ago and was very disappointed, but with Marlisa's excellent teaching skills and enthusiasm for the art, I left her studio feeling like I wanted to buy a wheel and start throwing. I appreciate her hands-on approach and always felt taken care of attended to. Marlisa is a true artist and excellent teacher!!! I highly recommend her.

I love working with new photographers to learn their cameras and effectively post-process their images. Whether you are a beginner or have more advanced knowledge, I can help you gain both skill and confidence to bring your photography to the next level.

I'm a professional photographer doing both commercial and fine art work in New York City. I recently completed a five city book project working with another photographer where I shot with a circa 1980 film camera. I do a lot of urban/street photography both digitally and on film and have a great deal of studio experience. My background is in the sciences and fine arts and I love to share my ten plus years of hands-on experience.

I am what is usually called a "power user" when it comes to Photoshop. I've tacked everything from removing writing written on human skin to removing/repla
cing backgrounds. I work with the program nearly every day along with Adobe Lightroom.

I've been doing photography since the era of film and I've worked with nearly every kind of camera. My background is heavily informed by the fine arts. I minored in drawing as an undergraduate, eventually going on for an MFA in painting.

About james
My name is James Radford Jr. My goal is to be a Northern California premier photographer.. I have always had a camera in my hand, even as a child. When I picked up my first SLR film camera. At 17, I was hooked!! In 2003 I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Photography from the University of Central Missouri. This was a very unique time in the industry. During my college career there was a transition from film to digital. Being on the forefront of the industry change gave me the unique experience of learning how to Shoot both median., This is something that most of today's photography students have missed out on.I am able to give my clients a unique opportunity to get the best of both worlds.

I love to explore and so my work is ever changing. Photography is about telIing stories, As I find new skills, techniques and ideas,
I find new tools that I can use to make my story telling even better. Its all about capturing a moment in time that causes one to stop, step back and think.

I have found I am enjoying more studio work these days, but my passion is mixing studio with natural light. I will say I like having control of my lighting conditions. I think this is what seperates a photographer from a picture taker. Bringing studio strobes into an outdoor enviroment gives me that control I am looking for. .
