The fine art of writing and essay is a pleasure once it is understood. As a published writer with books on Amazon, Barns and Noble and many other fine retailers, I can help to improve your skills. My degree work in the Professional Writing program was received at the University of Southern California. I am fluent in several languages, which adds to the cultural perception of diverse backgrounds. Early studies during my high school years were spent in earning university credits at the University of Rochester in the Russian Literature department and my work for different publication such as the Gannet papers produced a following of readership. Articles and my music criticism are archived on line.
If in person, we usually meet at Panera or Starbucks during the day. Working online is more flexible. Whatever your challenge or goal, I am happy to help you achieve it in a relaxed, and positive lesson.
I look forward to working with you!

He created a welcoming environment in our online lessons that made it easy to be vulnerable and get right to working on new skills.
I highly recommend for others looking to better understand their voice and communication style, and learn to hone them.
Joseph’s technical ‘short cuts’ are amazing! He illustrates ways for your hands and your mind to work that are tailor made for you. Learning from him is so fun it seems almost effortless.
The way Joseph teaches allows you to develop at your own pace. The atmosphere is always relaxed yet everything moves along quickly.
At the open classes I attend, his other students are progressing very rapidly too. After each class, we share our impressions. The mood is elated because it feels like we stepped back in time and into history.
Joseph often quotes inspired wisdom of his historic teachers in our lessons. He is a great inspiration on his own with great musical insights.
I’m playing Beethoven and Chopin works I never thought I could approach at this stage of study, with great depth of understanding. I now play with greater passion and skill, get compliments from everyone I play for, and no longer worry about playing in public.
I look forward to each and every lesson with Joseph. His encouragement and support makes learning so rewarding! Anyone who finds this musical treasure is a lucky person and I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Hi! I have been playing guitar for over 40 years. I was introduced to guitar by my older brother. He taught me Johnny B. Goode & we would jam for hours. I took some music classes at college but was a business major. Colleges only offered classical guitar & I was not interested in that. I have since studied six years with SF Conservatory graduate & classical guitarist Tim Lawler. Tim helped me learn to read music & develop my teaching skills. Thanks Tim!

I have a lot of teen & adult students also, with many diverse interests from classical, jazz, rock, funk, blues, alt, pop, rap, punk, metal, folk, country, game music, Americana, reggae, bluegrass. I also have those interests. Students are studying with me; we are both learning. I enjoy it as much as they do. I ...
