One of the biggest struggles I notice with photographers across all levels of experience, is that they are not maximizing the capabilities of their cameras in different shooting conditions. If you don't consistently apply some of the simple rules of photography to your camera; then what your camera delivers or under delivers can be quite frustrating. Sure you can watch endless videos, read books, and ask friends for help. However, what I have learned in teaching numerous students is nothing is better than camera in hand, shooting with a coach, supporting your efforts.
Though we travel around the world teaching photographers wildlife and nature photography, we are based out of Kennesaw, GA. **I will be sending out a material list prior to our lessons.
Each student is different and unique so classes will be adjusted to each of you.
The following is a guideline for us.
We will begin the class with an introduction to the subject matter where I will demonstrate my process and thought into the drawing. After this useful introduction, you will be the one drawing and learning! I will be there through the process guiding you.
First, we will focus on studying how to draw what you see. We will work on perception through geometric shapes. After a few months with life still models and objects, we will start on figures and portraits.
Our training together will focus on:
-Understanding drawing tools and materials.
-Approaching the drawing with simple geometric shapes.
-Acquisition and development of reflective habits and representative skills.
-Develop the capacity for immediate acquisition (notes and sketches).
-Initiate tonal and chiaroscuro assessment studies.
Hey there! My name is Adela and I can't wait to start this journey with you! I am from Spain and I grew up surrounded by art, culture, amazing food, a supportive family and riding horses. After graduating with a thesis in painting in Madrid, I moved to San Francisco to pursue my Masters of Fi

I am currently working in the industry as a freelance photographer as well as a retail staff photographer. I have been photographing for 6+ years now. My focus is people! Portraiture I focus on includes weddings, headshots, lifestyle, fashion, and photojournalism/documentary. My main love is storytelling. I believe if you have a medium such as photography, storytelling is not only fitting - but also necessary. I will teach you how to create a story with lighting, techniques, angles, posing, and context. We will be able to focus on our sitter and bring out the most authentic imagery that fits them and you as an artist.
I am a daydreamer, storyteller, and artist. I am a chaser of light, adventure, and the little things in life. I am a collector of all things quirky, antique, and vintage. Tarin has been photographing since 2012. Specializing in portrait imagery with a photojournalistic feel, Tarin has created mul

Hello fellow students!
My name is Anabel, I am a professional photographer in Los Angeles, California. I photograph a variety of subjects, from pets to Grammy-nominated musicians, and everything in-between! I am well versed in studio photography and on-location outdoor work, and can help you learn to make the most of any location and subject matter.
Being self-taught, I believe that I have an entirely different approach to education; one that sits well with aspiring photographers, especially those that are disappointed in traditional (as in, college and university) photographic education. My teaching philosophy revolves around educating on the minimum and maximum capabilities of your gear and giving students all of the fundamental tools to create whatever image they have in their head (hence my lack of a photographic ‘niche’ in my work. When your camera becomes an extension of your arm, your subject pool is limitless).
In 2015, I had officially made my photography classes ...
