One of the biggest struggles I notice with photographers across all levels of experience, is that they are not maximizing the capabilities of their cameras in different shooting conditions. If you don't consistently apply some of the simple rules of photography to your camera; then what your camera delivers or under delivers can be quite frustrating. Sure you can watch endless videos, read books, and ask friends for help. However, what I have learned in teaching numerous students is nothing is better than camera in hand, shooting with a coach, supporting your efforts.

Though we travel around the world teaching photographers wildlife and nature photography, we are based out of Kennesaw, GA. Meaning when we have down time, I can work with local students interested in learning photography in locations in which we are very familiar. Or, we have the ability to set up one on one online courses, tailored specifically for you. We teach all levels of photography and are knowledgeable ...

**I will be sending out a material list prior to our lessons.

Each student is different and unique so classes will be adjusted to each of you.
The following is a guideline for us.

We will begin the class with an introduction to the subject matter where I will demonstrate my process and thought into the drawing. After this useful introduction, you will be the one drawing and learning! I will be there through the process guiding you.
First, we will focus on studying how to draw what you see. We will work on perception through geometric shapes. After a few months with life still models and objects, we will start on figures and portraits.

Our training together will focus on:
-Understanding drawing tools and materials.
-Approaching the drawing with simple geometric shapes.
-Acquisition and development of reflective habits and representative skills.
-Develop the capacity for immediate acquisition (notes and sketches).
-Initiate tonal and chiaroscuro assessment studies.

I am currently working in the industry as a freelance photographer as well as a retail staff photographer. I have been photographing for 6+ years now. My focus is people! Portraiture I focus on includes weddings, headshots, lifestyle, fashion, and photojournalism/documentary. My main love is storytelling. I believe if you have a medium such as photography, storytelling is not only fitting - but also necessary. I will teach you how to create a story with lighting, techniques, angles, posing, and context. We will be able to focus on our sitter and bring out the most authentic imagery that fits them and you as an artist.

About Tarin

I am a daydreamer, storyteller, and artist. I am a chaser of light, adventure, and the little things in life. I am a collector of all things quirky, antique, and vintage. Tarin has been photographing since 2012. Specializing in portrait imagery with a photojournalistic feel, Tarin has created mul

Hello fellow students!

My name is Anabel, I am a professional photographer in Los Angeles, California. I photograph a variety of subjects, from pets to Grammy-nominated musicians, and everything in-between! I am well versed in studio photography and on-location outdoor work, and can help you learn to make the most of any location and subject matter.

Being self-taught, I believe that I have an entirely different approach to education; one that sits well with aspiring photographers, especially those that are disappointed in traditional (as in, college and university) photographic education. My teaching philosophy revolves around educating on the minimum and maximum capabilities of your gear and giving students all of the fundamental tools to create whatever image they have in their head (hence my lack of a photographic ‘niche’ in my work. When your camera becomes an extension of your arm, your subject pool is limitless).

In 2015, I had officially made my photography classes ...

"I had the crazy idea of gifting to the girl I like a painting of her favorite flower. She lives in Shanghai and I was flying to over from New York. The problem was that I did not know how to paint. Because I had been so busy with work, I waited until last week before my flight to take lessons. Guiseppe guided me on how to approach my project and how to mix colors. Could not have done it without his instruction. Thank you."

Secondly, Eileen knows all kinds of techniques and was really good at settIng up exercises that were simple (not overwhelming or stressful) but still allowed a lot of room for me to experiment with color and brushwork."

"I wish I could give Sandra TEN stars; five are not enough. She's the best! She helped me see my pictures, and the world, in new ways. I was lucky enough to see her work with a variety of photographers, from students just starting out, to professionals who had been working in the field for years. They all had great things to say about her, and how she showed them how to improve their portfolios. Many of them went on to win contests thanks to her teaching. If you want a teacher that is easily approachable and very accessible, has a wonderful sense of humor, and will take you and your photos to a new level, do yourself a favor and contact Sandra. "Margot is a great instructor and a born teacher. She immediately connects with each student. She asks everyone’s name and then remembers it, which is quite impressive with a large group.
She can teach to all levels of ‘artistic’ ability. She offers assistance and guidance so the finished product truly belongs to the student.
I have been to two of Margot’s classes. I have zero artistic ability, yet I left with a card (Valentine and Mother’s Day), that I was proud to share."
