A California transplant from Texas and full-time molecular scientist, I began my personal yoga practice and it wasn’t long after that I enrolled in 200-RYTT. Having been very active as a runner, tennis player, and in strength training for years, I stepped into my first class with the sole goal of added flexibility. What I didn’t expect was the deep sense of calm, inner peace, and mental stability that resulted in addition to the physical. I was hooked. My love for asana and philosophy jump-started a deeply personal transformation that keeps me committed to my journey; living out my yoga on and off the mat physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I adore new students and introducing them to yoga. I strive to guide students in equal balance of rhythmic vinyasa flow and restorative, always emphasizing fun and progress over perfection.
I taught Beginning Flow Yoga Level 1-1.5. I guided new and existing yoga practitioners through the basic postures of yoga with emphasis of safety, alignment, and breath work. Utilizing vinyasa principles, one breath to one movement, I created a moving meditative experience. I also enlisted the use of modification props and hands-on adjustments. Students left my class feeling rejuvenated and relaxed and it was always the highlight of my week to teach!
