    Hi, my name is R.J. I am a mindfulness teacher. I work with adults interested in learning mindfulness meditation (moment-to-moment, nonjudgemental awareness) to relieve stress, worry, anxiety, and negative patterns of thinking. In addition to learning mindfulness practices, I also coach my clients around how to best integrate mindful presence into their everyday lives. Mindfully working with one's own goals and intentions is another key piece to the work I do. I ask that new clients commit to at least 4 weekly sessions (or biweekly), with the option to continue on an as-needs basis. A typical session with me includes: - creating and setting (and reflecting on) personal goals - learning mindfulness practice, including the theory and science - discussing ways to integrate mindfulness into your day - practicing mindfulness meditation together Meditations I teach: - mindfulness of breathing/body (including body scan) - lovingkindness & compassion - mindfulness of thoughts (noting) - mindful movement: walking meditation & yoga - open awareness noting (advanced) - mindful listening & speaking (informal practice) - mindful eating (informal practice) A few benefits from mindfulness practice: - manage and quell strong emotions - be more present with others - more resilience and flexibility with difficult situations - less reactivity; more thoughtful discernment - increased kindness and compassion - increased sustained attention - improved discipline - increased contentment, happiness, and overall well-being Additionally, working with me you also get... - access to recordings of guided meditations - the option to text and email me to support you between sessions - a "pleasant (and unpleasant) moments" calendar to track your progress (optional) Please visit me at mindfulmomentswa for more details :)
