After much success with playing oboe & English Horn in High School I set out to be a professional musician. I achieve a great amount of success such as playing in the San Francisco Ballet, performing with Pepe, and Angle Romero, and starting to have my compositions performed publicly. After my first year of college I transferred to the University of Michigan and auditioned for the School of Music Composition Department (one of the top composition schools in the country). For the next 4 years I immersed myself in the multifaceted world of composition. Many of my compositions were performed publicly during this period. I believe that the teaching of music is a calling to share and explore the techniques and skills that can help a student achieve their own personal goals. I enjoy teaching classical and popular styles .

Pacific Philharmonic

A major Civic Orchestra in San Mateo California. Played 1st and 2nd oboe and English Horn in over 50 performances of classical orchestral repertory including Brahms, Beethoven, Copland, Debussy, Gershwin, Mahler, Bartok, Shostakovitch, and Rodrigo. The highlight of my affiliation with this orchestra was playing English Horn in the Concerto de Aranjuez with Angle Romero.

During my Junior & Senior years at the University of Michigan I created professional scores and parts for several composition majors as well as Professors. I developed the skill known as music Calligraphy using ink and vellum. Many of these scores were submitted to important composition contests.
