I teach water safety playing all the time. I like to start lessons working confidence and make the kid feeling more comfortable putting face in the water. I use toys and have some little challenges. (I am super silly and kids love it)

Kids already safe: I teach side breathing, floating and the four strokes using fun challenges like getting toys from the bottom, grabbing some baby animal and bringing them back to mom. I also like to use kick board and fins. I keep workin self-confidence and Its really important having fun.

Technique: I work endurance and we improve the swimmers skills with some  swim team drills like side breathing, breast stroke, back stroke and butterfly using kick board and fin. 

Learning how to swim must to be fun! 

Water is a great therapy and I like to see kids and adults having fun and understanding better their movements, their bodies.

I am a water person. I love swimming and sometimes I surf with my 15 years old son. 
I grew up swimming because my dad was swim coach of big teams in Brazil and he was also a professional swimmer, my aunts and my brother were swimmers as well. I swam competitive swimming when I was kid and I kept swimming my entire life. 
I experienced teaching in Brazil and I started teaching in Santa Monica in January 2017 were I still current. 
I teach any level, any age and having fun. Actually this is part of the goal.
I believe when we practice sport we must to enjoy the activity, to be happy. Consequently we'll learn better. It's a philosophy, in a nice and healthy lifestyle.
