About Allison B.
Allison teaches yoga because she gets to be fully present with people and share exactly what they need to make a difference in their lives. She has 10 years’ experience teaching yoga to people of all ages. She battled with her own injuries to the hip, shoulder and scoliosis and this brought her to a deep study of anatomy and biomechanics for an informed yoga practice. She has received more than 1,500 hours of yoga teacher trainings and holds both E-RYT-500 and YACEP certificates. She teaches private lessons, public yoga classes, holds yoga retreats and has developed workshops to educate people who have hip, shoulder and spine injuries learn techniques to realign their bodies. In 2015 Allison co-developed a teacher training program and taught lectures in the areas of emotional health, teaching methodology and applied kinesiology. From 2014 - 2017 Allison was part of a project that researched in-school yoga programs in HISD. And her studies are ongoing.
In addition Allison has graduated from spiritual philosophy program and was ordained in 2017 and has completed Leadership Training.
Allison believes everyone is able to improve their quality of life at any age and with any underlying condition.
