Having graduated in photography in 2011, I am a professional wildlife photographer, constantly on the move from one to the next great wildlife location, taking pictures and writing articles. In my down time, I love to teach others the basics of photography including theory, history, equipment (DSLR, mirrorless), lighting, posing, post-processing workflow, etc. If you are interested in a career in photography, I can also give you tips on how to get published, find clients, etc.

Prior to focusing on wildlife and nature photography, I photographed portraits (humans, pets) and weddings.

About Jorn

Award-winning, professional and published photographer. I love wildlife and most of all: keeping wildlife wild. I spend my time living full-time on the road traveling to wildlife destinations and writing about all things wildlife related, mostly with an emphasis on conservation and sustainable wil

Jorn taught me how to understand all the buttons on my camera but more importantly, how I really don't need most of them! I feel confident taking pictures of my children and even editing them on my tablet. Thanks!

Jorn helped me finally understand what all the buttons on my camera are for but more importantly, I learned that I really don't need them!

Jorn helped me understand how to use my Nikon camera and become a better photographer. He is a patient and understanding teacher. I love how he travels around in areas where there are lots of wildlife and takes wonderful pictures.

We are all artists-in-progress because, no matter how good we are, we can always get better!

I love art and I love teaching art! I am a graduate of The Art Institute and an artist and animator that creates in pencil, charcoal, pastel, watercolor, and digital mediums.

I recommend that classes are *at least* 1.5 hours (and I really recommend 2 hours!) because that's what's needed to critique homework assignments, warmup, and do the work for the class, and not be rushed.

My 6 year old daughter really enjoyed her online drawing lesson with Jessica. The lesson was well-structured and thought through. The materials Jessica picked were diverse and informative. I was amazed how Jessica made the online lesson seem as if she was right here in our house. I asked my daughter how many more lessons should I set up for her and she answered: many, many more! I strongly recommend Jessica to any student learning graphite drawing!

Both of my children take class with Jessica. She keeps the lesson fun and really encourages both of my children. She is very talented and knows how to reach young artists to help inspire them. I highly recommend her as an instructor. This was our third class with her and we have every intention to continue taking lessons with her.

Honestly, I can teach drawing at any level. My objective is for the student to improve and work towards their desired achievements -- whether it's just to get better at drawing, work towards making a masterpiece, or putting together a portfolio to get into their desired art school.

In drawing, I've worked primarily in Pencil, Pen, & Digital.

I've been drawing since I was 7, and have worked for 1000's of clients as a freelance artist.
