Hi there! I've played the piano for 14 years, and I am very passionate about piano technique, musicality, and expressing one's unique personality and sound through piano performance! I have worked with all ages, from elementary school children to undergraduate students pursuing a degree in piano performance to adults! A lot of the experience I have has been garnered through my 14 years of performance, learning, and sharing this knowledge with others. I have performed for and with many famojus concert artists, including Ilya Itin, Petronel Malan, Anthony Tobin, The Long Sisters, and many more, and have also had many wonderful teachers such as John and Nancy Weems, Kenneth Thompson of MACSA San Antonio, AJ Collins Thompson, Dr. Kassandra Keeling, and Dr. Fritz Gechter. I am known for my patience, unique approach to technique, and adapatbility to every individual student's unique musical goals and abilities. I believe that learning through the masterpieces of the great composers ...
I teach all individuals of all levels to learn not just how to play the piano, but also develop their own unique personality as a musician and performer! I cover the fundamentals of piano technique from the very beginning, for I believe that mastery of technique is the gateway to freely being able

Looking for the very best in personalized ACT prep? I train students in a series of techniques proven to increase test scores.
How do I know it works? I've been tutoring professionally for ten years, and the results are clear. I currently teach students at Dalton, Collegiate, Horace Mann, Chapin, Riverdale, and a handful of other schools.
What's the secret? I tune my lessons, pacing, and teaching style to the student's specific needs. Every learner is different, so in order to crack a test like the ACT, each student needs to build their own, unique approach. It's essential to quickly identify challenge areas--like stamina, speed, subject-specific content, and question analysis. I lay out a weekly plan to tackle these challenges, leading up to the test date.
Acing the ACT in particular is about learning the ropes and playing the game. Broadly, I focus on three areas: STRATEGY, CONTENT, and SPEED. My aim is for sessions to be both enjoyable AND demanding. The goal is to build
My priority is to help you grow. And everyone learns differently. That's why all of my tutoring is 100% individualized. I teach according to your goals, your learning style, and your challenges. My students get results because their learning is tailored to their needs. I'm a professional teacher
General Note: I majored in Spanish undergrad, and have explored a number of different way to continue learning in NYC - group classes and language programs have their value but can not complete with in-person, 1v1 instruction.

Bachelor's Degree, Violin Performance from Curtis Institute of Music
Teaches Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced
I have 21 years of experience playing/studying violin under my belt, 2 degrees from top conservatories, and 6 years of teaching experience with all levels -- complete beginners (children and adults alike), intermediate, and advanced. I love what I do and my goal is to share the beauty of music and violin playing with all of my students!
My teaching approach is entirely individualized; I do not subscribe to the one-size-fits-all mindset. I find each student's strengths and use them to help inspire their musical weaknesses.
Along with my lessons, I offer free consultations and Q&A outside of the classroom. I'm invested in and care about my student's musical and personal well-being.
