"Julie was able to focus (pun intended) on my specific photographic needs and interests--in this case with lessons in depth of field, composition/cropping,
lighting, and special effects (such as applying a brushstroke effect to make the result look more like a painting, or darkening the edges of a photo to better emphasize the center) for close-up subjects like leaves, flowers, and tree trunks, as well as landscapes. I learned so very much that I can apply to both my existing raw photos as well as my future photographic efforts. I am truly WOWED!"

"Adler is patient with me while also trying to push me forwards in the same moment, great to talk to about the lessons or even just normal things, sometime
s it starts to seem more like I'm just getting some pointers from a friend instead of learning from a teacher. He knows what he is doing and knows that I can only do so much at times, he guides me through the lesson instead of just teaching it like most teachers I know of. Starting off he was able answer my repetitive questions about something that he might do without thinking, and will describe what he wants of me while teaching, not always serious or just going off on his own, expecting others to know exactly what he is doing. A great teacher and more like a friend than teacher at times."
Los Angeles, CA teacher: Adler R.

"Julie is an excellent instructor! I am a beginner and knew nothing about my camera and she explained everything thoroughly. She is also teaching me how to
take pictures manually instead of using my automatic button function. I am looking forward to my next lesson with her."
Los Angeles, CA teacher: Julie D.

"Tony is awesome! He has extensive knowledge of photography, cameras, lenses, lighting, photoshop and has his own studio right in his house. I couldn't a
sk for a better or more cooperative teacher. Will be returning this week for my second followup appointment."
