Learn piano fast from an expert teacher with 30+ years experience

Students will quickly learn the fundamental skills of playing the piano including how to read music notation, theory, and music history. As students progress, they will have opportunities to perform for audiences large and small. Intermediate and advanced students may choose to focus on Jazz, Classical, or Praise and Worship music. For the serious classical pianist, you can opt to have longer sessions by choosing Classical Piano. Lesson Location - Choose between In-person or online virtual lessons. Lesson in person can be either at the teacher's home studio or in the comfort of your own home. There is an additional travel charge for in-home lessons. Students must have a digital or acoustic piano (not a portable keyboard) for in-home lessons. If a piano is not available, lessons will be at the teacher's studio or virtually online. Missed Lessons - If you must miss a lesson, please make every effort to notify the instructor at least 24 hours in advance. A make-up lesson may or may not be scheduled at the teacher’s discretion. ~ Any lesson which is cancelled less than 24 hours in advance may be forfeited. ~ Lessons missed due to teacher cancellation will be rescheduled or credit given. ~ Make-up lessons cannot be rescheduled a second time, and if missed, you will be charged automatically for that lesson. ~ If a pattern of missed lessons develops, the student will be removed from the teacher’s weekly schedule.

Mr. Walker is an accomplished pianist and music instructor with over 30 years experience in music education. He has served as worship and musical director for churches in Arizona, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. In 1987, he performed his senior recital on the pipe organ at ASU's Grady Gammage auditorium. In addition to managing a private music studio, he teaches music in the Paradise Valley Unified School District. With private lessons from Mr. Walker, students will receive a solid foundation in sight-reading, piano techniques, chords and scales, and lots of music literature. Advanced students may choose a path focused on Jazz, Classical, or Worship music. Online lessons are available, as well as in-home instruction if you live in the north Phoenix/Paradise Valley area AND have an acoustic piano in your home.

Completely professional and teaches at the child's level. There were times that we needed to change lesson times and every attempt was made to accommodate us. I can not say anything negative and 100% recommend, especially if online lessons are not what you are used to.
