My name is Zack and I play double bass! I have been playing and teaching the double bass for over a decade now. I am currently a full-time college student at CSU working on my bachelor of music degree in double bass performance. I perform regularly with the Fort Collins Symphony, Cheyenne Symphony, and Greeley Philharmonic. I also play regular jazz gigs in the Fort Collins area. I guest teach at numerous school districts as a sectional coach every school year, working at both the middle school and high school levels. In addition to professional musical experience, my private studio has demonstrated success in helping middle school, high school, and adult-level players achieve their musical goals. Several of my students have made the top honors orchestra at all levels. This is due to my unique background in double bass pedagogy. In that, I aim to build strong physical and mental tools that students can use to navigate any musical environment with confidence. I would love to help you reach your musical goals, so feel free to reach out with any questions! Thanks for your time. Zack

I couldn’t recommend anyone more than Zack. This year is my senior year in high school and he’s been teaching me since I was in the seventh grade. He’s taught me everything I know about the double bass. He’s gotten me into my schools top orchestra and as first alternate for All-State orchestra. He strives to create a non stressful environment for learning. I’ve taken all sorts of lessons from Zack from music theory, to Jazz bass, to Conducting, to even how to teach my own lessons, and I’ve never been able to stump him. He knows how to teach music inside and out. He also knows how to personalize it. There was a point in time where I felt I hit a wall in my playing and I told Zack and he took it upon himself to make goals, give resources, encourage, and make sure I got through that wall. I really couldn’t recommend Zack more, he’s amazing at what he does plain and simple
