Hello! My name is Vivian, and I have been teaching private lessons on various instruments since 2013. I have also been teaching professionally in public schools since 2015. I play and teach several instruments including Ukulele, French Horn, Trumpet, Clarinet, Trombone, Flute and I also love to sing! In 2015 I graduated with honors from East Carolina University, earning my Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. Every musician learns at their own pace, and I will treat you as the individual that you are! I can help any beginner no matter what sort of musical experience they bring to the table! There is no greater joy for me than seeing a student smile and shine when they master a new note, song, or technique! It's those awesome lightbulb moments that made me fall in love with teaching!!

My daughter joined the school choir in the middle of the school year and needed some help catching up and developing her singing voice. We are so glad we found Ms. Lewis on Take Lessons. Ms. Lewis is a fantastic teacher. She's kind, enthusiastic, and extremely professional. She taught my daughter a lot of the technical aspects of singing that my kid's Choir teacher never went over. My daughter really enjoyed her time with Ms. Lewis and hope to continue with her after the summer break.

My daughter had her first lesson on the French horn today. Vivian was kind, encouraging and very knowledgable. I would definitely recommend her to anyone beginning a band instrument!
