Cello with Timothy L.

I am an experienced cellist across many genres: you might have heard my playing on Late Night with Stephen Colbert, at venues like Barclays Center and BAM, or in more intimate settings like Bargemusic. I have performed across the globe, in tours through China, Australia, Italy, and Mexico. Here are some musicians I have collaborated with I received my bachelor's degree in cello performance and music education as a scholarship student at Rutgers University, where I studied with Jonathan Spitz. I recently completed my master's degree in cello performance as a scholarship student at Aaron Copland School of Music, where I won the concerto competition, performed solo with the orchestra, and played in the school's scholarship chamber group. I went to Eastern Music Festival, Brevard Music Center, and Round Top Festival Institute, where I was principal cellist. Additionally, I was a teaching fellow at the Maine Chamber Music Seminar in Sidney, ME. I have extensive teaching experience. I was the director of elementary strings in Warren, NJ and I taught in El Sistema-inspired programs throughout NJ. I maintained a private studio at Rutgers Prep in Somerset, NJ and am now teaching privately in Brooklyn and throughout NYC.
