I’ve been a celebrity stylist and fashion show coordinator for 20 years. I’ve spoken all over the world including Zambia Africa, Bali, and in November Abu Dhabi.

My path is unique because I focus on sustainable clothing. If you are a designer I can also consult you on fabric options.

I believe LUXURY should benefit the makers as well as the design team. Fabulous finds have personalized stories that can be shared by collecting special pieces. If you’re on a BUDGET I can lead you to affordable Fairtrade organic cotton undies, recycle fiber fabric, Tencel (oh so soft), food crop waste fabric by a circular systems in 2020, and the secondhand clothing market is booming while fast fashion is flailing. So many online and unique shopping experiences.

I can even help you host your first clothing exchange. So much fun. There is a unique history to clothing exchange going back 10 years. Okay. Really Mom’s have been exchanging baby clothes since before I was a baby. It’s about time we added a bit of wine and camaraderie.

From red carpet green dress to fashion revolution to common objectives to BEYOND THE LABEL I’ll connect you with influencers that share your style esthetic whether you’d like be styled in vegan clothes, ethically sourced fabric, chemical free, and I’m just getting started.

I also love to style men too. There are so many hidden gems and brands making big wave when it comes to shifting shopping habits.

Hey, if you signs up I’ll send you a FREE digital copy of my book How to Shop for Shi(f)t! Silly sassy sexy clear and quick read!

About Taryn H.

Taryn studied fashion design and art therapy at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She worked for Anna Sui and milliner Tracy Watts.

Taryn first started teaching sewing to displaced youth at Hollywood Arts 10+ years ago. She taught "R'ashion" (recycle fashion/sewing) at Environmental Charter High School for 5 years. She headlines EcoFashion workshops all around the world including Zambia, South Africa, and recently at the Green School in Bali. Jack Johnson has donated leftover Tour T-shirts so she could do upcycling workshops at schools. And she's had the opportunity to teach celebrities how to sew at the EcoDivas Upcycling Lab at Sundance. (DJ Aoki was the most fun.)

She taught “Sustainability and the Fashion Industry” at FIDM for 7 years. She is the founder of Beyond the Label, a charitable organization that gets people to think about "What's in my tee?" She encourages people to think of fabric like ingredients and does whatever she can to relate food to fashion including making nutrition label T-shirts to show what's actually in the tee. Due to multiple allergies, you can learn healthy alternatives of what to put in and on your body.

She is on the Advisory Board for Fashion Revolution USA, and the Fashion Department at Santa Monica College AND LOVES TO NERD OUT ABOUT SUSTAINABLE FASHION AND HEALTHY FABRICS.

My 7 year old daughter had been asking to take sewing lessons for months. She's learned so much in a short amount of time. She’s learned both hand sewing and machine sewing techniques and is looking forward to her next lesson.

Taryn is incredibly patient, professional, knowledgeable, and fun. She’s answered all my questions and let me learn at my own pace. I get excited to complete sewing projects and then show them off to my friends.
