I love to teach music as much as I love to perform.
Be sure to check out my photos and recordings!

I currently am a Graduate Teaching Assistant at FIU where I am completing my masters in music performance for cello.

As a young girl I began taking private piano lessons which eventually led me to participate in the string program at my Elementary School. Not knowing anything about string instruments I was handed a Cello by the Conductor, and I've been playing ever since!
I joined the local symphony GMYS (Greater Miami Youth Symphony) throughout my high school career which not only boosted my orchestral playing but was a great motivation to continue playing.
In the midst of my college career I became inspired to share my knowledge of music with young and adult students.
My goal as a teacher is to motivate and inspire students with music whether they're beginning or advanced players, and of any age.

Some well known performance I've done:
-The 2011 Zumba conference in Orlando, with Artist Wyclef.
-Univision performing with such names as Cristian Castro on Sabado Gigante, and on the Cristina show.
As well as on Nuestro Navidad 2012.
-In 2005 I performed with GMYS at Carnegie Hall in New York.

*** Lesson Details ***
Every student works at a different pace, so I like to create a study plan unique to each student that will provide the best results. I like to challenge the students and emphasize critical thinking.
It's not enough to simply tell the students what's correct or not, but to help them understand why.
From beginning to advanced students, we will work on proper technique, musicality, and efficient practicing.
I want to show students and parents the joy behind music, but there are no shortcuts, motivation is a must!

I took my first lesson with Stephanie last Saturday. It was very fruitful. I am a beginner, but everything in her class was very clear. She made things easy to understand and answered every question that I had.

Stephanie stepped in at the last minute to help with a wedding music performance. She was amazing and incredibly patient. The pieces came together and the wedding was a great success. Stephanie was brilliant working with young, very nervous, children!

Good Teacher

I've now had my second class with Stephanie. She is an excellent teacher and has taught me more in two lessons than I ever learned with my first teacher.
I'm very pleased.

Parent of a practicing Teen

Stephanie has been working with my daughter who has never taken lessons before. She is always on time, calm and attentive. Having similar musical interest in music is key when working with teenagers, it gives them a sense of connection with their teacher. I would highley recommend stephanie!!

Cello student

Stephanie is fantastic! I drive an hour for lessons and it's definitely worth it. She is more than experienced enough to adapt to the student's needs and guide them forward in the right direction. Her relaxed communication style is calming, refreshing, and encouraging.
