Power Yoga 200 Hour Teacher Training

    Yoga is YOUR journey

    Spend 60 minutes awakening soft tissue and align joints all while controlling your Ujjayi breath through dynamic Ashtanga based asanas. We'll focus on staying present by fully engaging in our asanas through mindful movement, build strength in your large and small muscle groups by maintaining our posture, and committing to our soul journey of healing and rejuvenation.

    About Sherrelle J.

    I'm Sherrelle. I attended Nova Southeastern University (NSU) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I also spent a year and a half at Southern University Agriculture and Mechanical College at Baton Rouge. While obtaining my Bachelor's of Science in Psychology and Business Administration and a Minor in Sociology, I also ran track and field. My events were 100 Meter Hurdles, 4x100 Meter Relay, 4x400 Meter Relay, and 200 Meter Dash. I also ran the 400 Meter Hurdles while at Southern University. Yoga became a factor within my life after my collegiate career expired and I needed something to keep me active. On paper my journey as a yogini has went began quickly; I obtained my Vipassana Meditation from Aura Wellness Center ) in November 2019, my Reiki Level I Certification with Bianca in March 2020, and my 200-HR Yoga Teacher Training from CorePower Yoga in October 2020. As you embark on your own journey keep in mind that your practice should me unique and something of your own. There will be good yogi days and days where you will not show up to your mat. Stay mindful your mat will always be there to welcome you back. At Soul Journey Community Practice, of goal is to serve our community through spreading knowledge on alternative approaches to mental health treatment and challenge the stigmas on what mental health is suppose to look like. Together we can spread awareness on the importance of early intervention and preventative solutions associated with mental health.

Mindfulness of breathing is a meditation method that can be practiced in any tradition. The goal of mindfulness of breathing is to develop concentration and awareness of the body and mind. Metta, also known as “loving-kindness,” is a mindfulness meditation method that can be practiced in any tradition. The goal of metta is to develop unconditional love and compassion for all beings.
