My name is Rebecca and I am a Classical/Indie singer/pianist living in Chicago! I have been teaching since 2017 and love working with all ages and levels of singers and pianists. My goal when teaching a student is to be a resource to help them reach their full musical potential by setting realistic goals, practice routines and using tension free techniques. When teaching I strive to give my students a safe space where they can feel free to grow, create, and express. I received my Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Chicago College of Performing Arts , and my Masters of Music at Loyola University New Orleans. I have recently been cast as: Amy in Little Women, Monica in selected scenes from The Medium, the 1st Spirit in Cendrillon, and La Princesse in L’enfant et les sortilèges. I have also been a participant in masterclasses taught by Isabel Leonard, Carol Mastrodomenico, and Etienne Galletier with Il Giardino D’amore. As a recitalist, I have been the guest artist for the Stahl Family Theater and featured as the soprano soloist with the Lutheran Cantata Choir in the St. Luke’s Lutheran Church Concert Series, and the CCPA Guitar Ensemble. My academic endeavors include primary research on Marta Gentilucci conducted with Eastman School of Music at IRCAM in Paris, France. I have also been seen playing keys and singing backup vocals in Slow Rosary (New Orleans) and performing with CalicoLoco in Chicago and around the nation as The Looniest Toon.

Rebecca is great! I am an adult student that has never played the piano before. She is making it easy to learn and fun.
Great lesson!
Ms. Rebecca is kind, patient, and attentive. We love that she incorporates her singing background in training our 6 yo kiddo's ear. She has creative, age-appropriate techniques in making learning fun and encouraging a growth mindset. If you want your student to end the lesson with a proud smile and enjoy playing/learning/appreciating music, then I highly recommend her.
