    Clarinet Lessons for All Levels

I'm very passionate about educating and the ways that learning music improves our daily lives in terms of concentration, decision-making, awareness, and others. For me, teaching clarinet is two-fold: my students should learn the fundamentals of the instrument in order to produce rich and sonorous sounds, have excellent technique, and an explorative and inquisitive musical expression; however, I also think that studying music should focus on how we learn and how it can be applied beyond the musical staves on our stand. My teaching focuses on problem solving skills and engaging the student so that when they are alone and without a teacher, they have the necessary skills to improve.

    About Patrick P.

As someone who participated in Florida All State, Youth Orchestras, Solo and Ensemble, competitions, and more, I understand the rigors of achievement it takes at a young age to succeed in classically trained music. I also understand that students have many things on their plate beyond their instruments and I prioritize highly the students' goals in relation to their busy lives to find practice regimes that work well. I am a musician who believes in working smarter; not harder. Although there is not always a shortcut to take, there is most certainly always underlying and fundamental techniques to achieve that will allow a student to grow faster. My lessons are always fun and engaging because music is nothing without personality! I encourage all of my students to be vocal about their needs and wants so we can work together to create beautiful music, foster excellent technique, learn skills that make us better thinkers, and have fun as well. If you have specific questions about the types of techniques, goals, and strategies that I teach, do not hesitate to reach out to me!
